Fleetwood have not travelled well this term so far, winning only once from 5 games
Possible doubts about there top scorers Evans and Saunders as well, I believe will give us the edge .an entertaining 2-1 Gas win . UTG

IMO today is a game to show where we are and how we've developed. I can't help thinking the difference in experience in managers will contribute to the result. So unfortunately I am predicting a loss possibly by two goals. If we draw or win it will show we are progressing quickly. I think we are moving forward but I don't think fast enough to get a positive result here.

Concerned with JvS being in goal... 2-1 Fleetwood I dont think JVS is that bad, the problem is that Jaakkola is so good he makes JVS look bad in comparison |

No idea how this one will go, but I'm hopeful that our passing game will be more penetrative than it was against Posh. If we can maintain the sort of intensity we see in the first 5 minutes of each half, for the majority of the game, then I can see us winning this one. If we drop back and play passive between minutes 6 and 45, and 51 and 90, then we'll struggle.
Trying to think positive, I think we'll win this one 2-1. UTG!

I just can't see us winning with JVS in goal. I don't rate him that highly but he is our 2nd goalkeeper in L1 so need to bare that mind. Also, even if we do take a lead, we've allowed the opposition to come on to us. I don't have faith that we would be able to hold them out. Saying that Fleetwood have lost 4 of their 5 awya games so who knows? 😕

Reading this has reminded me why I don't normally bother with the pre match threads. JVS is a perfectly good back up perhaps those knocking him could point me in the direction of the goals he's cost us in the games he's played in the past ? Jaakkola is arguably the best keeper in the league so of course his back up isn't going to be of the same standard but to suggest he's going to cost us the game hours before ko is nonsense

Gusty winds & rain may make it interesting, some back passes to the keepers need to be spot on today. If Daly plays he could cause a bit of panic. Going for 3-3

JVS is a decent second choice keeper, we’re just completely spoilt by having Anssi as our number 1! Best keeper in the league. Up the Gas!

JVS is OK backup, but Jaakkola is arguably the best keeper in the league, so Jaakkola to JVS is a big downgrade that will naturally harm our chances in today’s game IMO. |
