Swindon 5 defence there for taking and we didn't capitalise.
Subs needed to be earlier. Defence/Midfield wasteful leaving little for the forwards to make anything of. Shame Nicholson's header didn't go in.

Jaakkola 4 if you're going to blame last week opener on the keeper, you've got to be consistent. Keeper error that led to the goal.
Kilgour 4.5 part error that led to the defeat.
Ehmer 4 no marking that led to the goal.
Harries 4 not a base of diamond player.
Hare 4 wasn't utilised efficiently.
Grant 5.5 ok game and one shot of note.
Upson 6.5 not bad deliveries and glad to see his starting inclusion.
McCormick 8 m o m everywhere!
Tutonda 6 best of the back 5.
Nicholson 7.5 effective and unlucky not to score by hitting post.
Hanlan 7.5 ran hard and linkwd up well with Nix.
Subs: Westbrooke 5 some poor corners.

Ref 5 I thought was duped for the free kick that set up the goal.
Swindon 5.5 took their chance but I'm hoping we can end up higher than them, way higher.
Interesting start from Tis. Mixed thoughts. Definitely lost too much possession.
Disappointed result, wanted to see more positive subs after we went 1-0 down, but we definitely looked more effective in second half after formation change. That's something not seen for a year.
We don't have enough recognised strikers to enjoy diversity up front or even to employ strength in depth.....but some of us highlighted that in transfer window.

Think I might add a mark for the manager's performance in future...today based on team selection, team set-up, use of substitutes and energy it would have been a 3.

Jaakkola 5 At fault with the goal, little else to do. Kilgour 5 still sufferining from Garneritis. Ehmer 6 seldom seemed to dominate Harries 5 average until he was pushed into midfield when he was like a fish out of water. Hare 5.5 not at his best. Grant 6.5 ok, one decent attempt Upson 6.5 worked hard but our present style doesnt really suit him. McCormick 7 M.o.M probably his best game yet, bags of energy. Tutonda 6 decent on the ball but too casual at times. Nicholson 6.5 unlucky with a late header he must always start. Hanlan 6.5 yet again worked hard but lacked the service. Subs: Westbrooke 5.5 made little difference. Koiki n.o.l.e Baldwin n.o.l.e. Ref 5 uninspiring. Swindon 5 they got lucky, a poor side. |

Upson 5.5 passed it well in the 2nd after a sluggish first 45
McCormick 5.5 battled hard, mobile
Tutonda 6 good game bar one crappy sideways pass
Nicholson 6 our most likely scorer - looked sharp but should've scored with the header
Hanlan 5.5 faded in 2nd after a promising first half
Subs: Westbrooke 5 didn't really get into it - but should've been on much earlier

No new manager bounce because Tisdale sadly went for a 0- 0 - biggest evidence of this is the crazy idea of putting Harries in front of back 4. Sometimes you get bitten on the bum for negativity and that's what happened although Nicholson should've rescued a point, which was probably all both teams deserved. Only Tisdale first game, but I hope he sets up more positive v lowly Wigan or we are really going to be facing a long old season.
Don't get why some on hear are slagging off one or two players - think about it no-one played well and no-ne had a mare !
