Morning Ladies and Gentleman. Looking forward to this one. We've had quite a few Jonah's starting the match threads lately so let's hope GGMI can bring us all some luck with a winning match thread and Tisdale's first win as Rovers manager. Come on you blues!! Up the GGMI!!

Good win today well done everyone, this is the sort of team we rarely finish off . But putting 6 in will restore confidence some good moves and play and some awful passing at times work in progress let’s transfer it to the league UTG

Rovers playing for a 6-0 for Gashead blues! Get the drinks in kev. 🍺 It would be great if I could. Looking forward to the day when that's possible again. Celebrating on my own with nice bottle of red. Not every day you get a 80/1 winner

Ditto, the last team we want, they will murder us. Not sure about that , they have only beaten the lesser teams in the championship and have come up short against promotion contenders, looked very vunerable to quick counter attacks v Reading, nothing to fear there. Your kidding yourself.

Is it just me or did we just win 6-0?

Starting 11 all played well.
Grant is definitely improving and I thought McCormick and Nicholson were excellent. Oztumer was lively and Daly was a constant menace to their defence. Hopefully his injury isn't serious.
Other than Daly's injury the only disappointments were Westbrooke and Harries who were both hopeless when they came on. Harries was playing out of position but Westbrooke at the moment isn't even worth a place on the bench in my opinion.

Tisdale doesnt seem to rate Westbrooke.. He was awful when he came on.Seemed very off the pace and his passing was deadful. I do not think he was off the pace, that's just his natural game. Westbrooke is probably our most naturally gifted player. He is extremely confident and comfortable on the ball, and has a great range of passes and vision, was highly rated, and it seems we did well to secure his signature. It was obvious that we had built our side around him, and along with his three year contract, is probably one of our highest earners. For all that though, he does frustrate me too! He strokes the ball around, tries to flick the ball round a player, always has time on the ball, is a very calm player. But if he could just show more attacking prowess at times and take a shot when in and around the box, add a few goals to his game, then he would be some player! As it is, we should definitely stick wth him, and hopefully, coach into him that natural goal-scoring instinct, which he is certainly lacking, but I do not expect him to start against Gillingham. He is definitely not a lost cause, especially having invested heavily in him as a Gas Player, but he needs to improve to become the player we all hoped for! UTG!

I thought Nicholson was excellent, our forward play needs to go through him. If we can inject the team with a bit more pace & creativity we will be ok...in short, a few more Nicholson type players please utg

Why is it our "most naturally gifted" players can never perform at the standard for the league we're at? What is about this "most natural gift" that makes these players so underwhelming?

I do fear though that Westbrooke and Harries will struggle to flourish under PT as they were very much integral to the Garnerball philosophy.

Harries came on for twelve minutes, played out of position and struggled like the other nine for that period of time. Westbrooke was just poor, appeared to just want to get rid of the ball, backwards

He reminds me of Lines in his final season! The fact he's been benched by the new manager suggests he feels the same, I can't never understand how a footballer gets to play pro football when he can't tackle to save his life, how do they get though youth football and the Academy without any coach teaching them how to tackle, it's not that difficult. Westbrook must be a major headache for Tisdale as he's probably now our highest paid player and he's on a 3 year contract.

After a nervous start I thought as soon as we scored we controlled the game. Nobody that started the game did themselves any harm at all and I liked the look of Liddle. Think the criticism of Westbrooke is a little harsh, the game was already finished when he came on and going down to 10 meant we were always going to sit on and keep the ball. The only real negative was Daly's injury hopefully it isnt too serious. A bit of momentum to take into the next couple of games, both winnable hopefully this time next week the table will look a bit better

I think Tisdale will see him as a challenge not a problem. He has bundles of ability and Tisdale can manage him into being the player we need him to be. A decent manager will know when a player like him needs to be dropped even if he’s oozing with talent so as to make an impression on the player and work on the frailties in their play.

Very strange personnel on the bench again today and equally strange substitutions I thought.
Kilgour and Harries on the bench is a waste and bringing Harries on for a midfielder is bizarre at best ... when he came in I thought he looked woeful.
We have paid the price for leaving Daley on too long when he could have been rested having done brilliant work.
HOWEVER ... A good win and progress to Round Three - Sorry BBC not the upset you had hoped for.

Why did we need to see so many prolonged shots of the Darlo Manager on 981 - was he the cameraman's Dad?

Some of our players can’t do throw ins, kick the ball down the line, set pieces are terrible. Shooting us woeful? And passing simple balls leaves a lot to be desired? Apart from that .....
