Good, bloody hate Northampton, painful memories If your talking 3-0 away in playoffs of 1998 then I agree.Worst day of my life being a Gashead..Worse than Mansfield in 2014. Come on Icegas, nothing was worse than that Mansfield match in 2014. Surely? UTG!

Should be a good draw for us.
A potential banana skin but providing we don't take them too lightly we should be able to progress.
They only finished mid table last season and are currently 17th having started with 1 win and 2 defeats.
That said, Chorley are bottom of the smae league and they came from 2 goals down to win 3-2 at Wigan so you never know in the cup.
Still, if somebody had offered me a home draw against a side from National League North I'd have definitely taken it.

Surely? UTG! Getting knocked out of the league by a poor team who were wearing our away kit, and we were only in the relegation places for about 40 minutes all season, how could anything be worse? The Northampton result was pretty gutting I'll agree though.

This is nuts, we’re still in 2 Cups. Which should bring some much welcomed cash to plug this seasons predicted £2 million shortfall. We can't expect Wael to keep funding the club. Clubs like Exeter have managed to keep afloat through cup runs.

Oh and they all think it’s a sh1te draw 😃 To be fair, if we drew a mid-table League 1 club away, we'd think it was a sh**e draw, too. It’s all relative really, isn’t it. I doubt we’d be saying it was a Shyte draw if we were pitted away against a mid-table Prem team.

Just watched Oxford City beat Northampton Town 2-1 in the game after the draw. Played on an artificial surface, Pablo Martinez our Welsh centre back made a sub appearance for Oxford City and looked bright. Joe Martin, former Rovers loanee who got sent off this season against us, gave away a penalty. Northampton very poor, on the basis of the two times I've seen them this season, they'll struggle to stay in league one. Joe martin spent the entire match being taken apart by the Oxford winger. He didn’t look at all comfortable.

Good, bloody hate Northampton, painful memories I have quite pleasant memories of Northampton away. I was there when we stuffed them 6-0 a couple of years ago. I think they got relegated at the end of the season as well. Another side I can only wish bad luck on is Mansfield Dam Town. For the way they relegated us wearing our own youth team shirts to the way the arrogant bastards poached Coughlan. At least we got paid out for him, and hopefully it cost them a fair whack to sack him less than a year later.

The current table suggest that we have to win and if Oxford win, we're through. If Oxford and Walsall draw and Oxford win the pens we're also through. If Walsall win, or draw but win on pens, then we will have the same points as Oxford, or Walsall respectively. Not sure what happens then. Edit - I guess GD comes into it. Looking at it again, if we win we will have a positive GD, if Oxford lose, they won't and if Walsall draw and win the pens, they won't either - so a win is enough for us whatever the others do (Got there in the end). If Walsall draw but win on pens I assume it will be decided on the result of our game v Walsall, assuming we beat Chelsea? If so, we'll go out as we lost to them on pens, although Walsall winning two games out of 3 on pens is, hopefully, unlikely given the Chelsea game muyst have also gone to pens?

As Rod1883 says, if Walsall draw and we win we will have a better goal difference and therefore go through. Just need to beat Chelsea Boys!

Last time I went to Darlo, match played at the TFM Arena, 05/06 season, drew 1-1, cracking ground, great facilities. Long journey, Darlo will not be looking forward to coming down to the MEM; surely, we should be good enough to beat them ? hmm.

Long journey, Darlo will not be looking forward to coming down to the MEM; surely, we should be good enough to beat them ? hmm. Under normal circumstances, that journey on the day would be a trek and half for our lads. But we've raised £3500 as fans in 22 hours to pay for the players hotel stay and the travel down the night before, gives us the best preparation possible. fundraising.darlingtonfcsupportersgroup.org/pitches/fa-cup-2nd-round-travelWe did the same thing for the Swindon away game in the last round, think we raised £1665 for that. As for the game, I am absolutely gutted fans can't be there. I have no doubt at all that we'd have taken at least 1,000 down to Swindon and at least another 1,000+ to your place. Massive game for us, not often we get the play league teams there days I've got friends who live in Yate, so I'd have loved a night out and the game down your place for the weekend. Suppose that we will have to make do with a live stream. Please don't under-estimate us though because of the 3 leagues difference, we didn't half shock Swindon. On our day and at our best, we can be a really tough team to play (See Saturday for example - Second half, Swindon didn't know what to do with us when we ran at them instead of backing off and letting them dictate the game). Looking forward to watching it. Stay safe everyone. #UpTheDarlo

We were worthy winners, expected much better from them. Hoping you have the same horror show when we come down haha!
