Van Stappershoef 9 - superb. great saves and good distribution
Ehmer 6.5 - steady game
Kilgour 7 - good but a few errors. Good goal
Baldwin 7.5 - solid and good distribution
Leahy 8 - defensively good and good attacking passes
Grant 6 - people do not notice how much ground he covers. However makes a number of sloppy mistakes and needs to not run for the sake of it.
Upson 7 - good steady performance. Unlucky not to score
Westbrooke 7.5 - almost back to his best
McCormick 7.5 - good energetic performance and goal
Nicholson 8 - a class above the rest
Hanlan 6 - a little off the pace
Ayunga 4 - looked out of his depth. Strolled around to little effect and missed one good chance
Hargreaves 5 - not the player he was last year

van Stappershoef 8.5 m o m faultless display.
Ehmer 7 bedding in in his new position.
Kilgour 7 nice stooped header goal but their #9 had the beating of him first half clear on goal.
Baldwin 7 solid display and even thought about a tame shot.
Leahy 8 really liked his attacking contribution and seemed to stay off Byron in second half, rather than mark him because Byron done him once, and Leahy learned to pick up the second ball after.
Grant 6.5 not sure I can remember anything special.
Upson 8.5 excellent midfield running. Unlucky with hit post and played the ball about.
Westbrooke 7.5 took his goal well and also helped out defensively.
McCormick 8.5 deserved his goal, stepped into the Oz role perfectly and ran that line behind strike force with a nuisance to their defence.
Nicholson 8 another brilliant display. Linking up well with everyone, he seems to find freedom in opposition territory easily and unlucky with looped lob onto bar not to score.
Hanlan 7 worked hard, missed his one chance the same as he did from identical Womble opportunity (if it had been on his right, probably buried) but it just wasn't his march today.
Subs: Ayunga 6 rusty.
Hargreaves 7 added tempo.
Barrett nole.
Ref 5.5 I thought he missed a pen to us and a few niggly fouls. One passage of play I thought we fouled their man on a 50/50, he gave the free kick to us!?
Plymouth 6 steady physical classic 3rd division outfit so a good test. I don't like the whining Scouse tosser, but he's made a team out of ordinary players and coped well with losing sarcevic, grant etc and I'm sure we'll be playing them again next year if we don't go up!

Leahy 8 a different player this season, class act
Grant 6.5 covered a lot of ground but some odd passes
Upson 8 class act, brings something different to the team
Westbrooke 8 massive improvement from him, bundles of energy
McCormick 8.5 great player, great energy, great attacking impotence
Nicholson 8.5 best technical player we’ve had since Billy
Hanlan 7 workhorse shame that leftie didn’t go in
Subs: Ayunga 6 but what was that shot

van Stappershoef 9 Excellent game and proved that forum members are too quick to write players off Ehmer 7 steady game - nothing spectacular Kilgour 8 Well taken goal and unlucky not to get a second. Looking much better in his natural position Baldwin 7 Solid for the most part Leahy 7 Looked a little shaky defensively after Moore came on. But brilliant for the 3rd goal. Grant 7 Good game...nothing spectacular and if he cuts out the stray passes will develop as a very good player Upson 8 Very good link up play...getting back to his best Westbrooke 8 Looked very creative McCormick 8 Well taken goal - love the way he can burst forward Nicholson 8 The most skillful of this creative trio...a pleasure to watch. Rare to see his skills at this level Hanlan 7 No problem with effort and a little unlucky with tat shot that went just the wrong side of the post Subs: Ayunga 5 Still looks very raw, but good experience for him. Pity about that shot near the end! Hargreaves 6 steady Barrett 6 Did he touch the ball? Ref 6 kept the game flowing Plymouth 5 Not as bad a the scoreline suggests and if one of their excellent chances had been taken in the first half the story could have been very different Re Barrett... I believe it was his pass to Sammy who then had THE touch that send the defender sliding... rumour has it he is still sliding now! |

Kilgour: 7 finding last seasons form. Definitely better in a two.
Baldwin: 7 really like Baldwin. Another calm and collected performance.
Leahy: 7.5 another very good performance. His best run of form to date.
Grant: 7 Worked hard, broke up play. Room for improvement in possession.
Upson: 8 dictated the tempo of the play. Liking his current form a lot.
Westbrooke: 7.5 deserved goal. More effective when played further forward.
McCormick: 8.5 MOTM
Nicholson: 8 really starting to excel. Exciting to watch. Oozes class.
Hanlan: 7 worried the defence all game. Unlucky not to score.
Subs: Ayunga: 6 nice to see him back.
Hargreaves: 6 some needed game time
Barrett: NOLE
Ref: 6.5 let the game flow
Plymouth: 5 created chances, poor finishing. Defensively look like they will struggle
Tisdale: 7.5 starting to get himself across to the players. Starting to see his exciting attacking philosophy. Getting the team to gel and working to a game plan. A lot more to come I feel as he has more time.
