It feels like we're further into this season than we actually are....
Still 5 league fixtures to complete before we're even at half way....
Still doing a decent job of it under PT.....

I was excited when Nicholson signed instead of going back to Hearts, BG's best signing for me' and for me he is a quality player who fits in really well. Best Scottish player we've had since Ian Alexander (albeit different positions)
Imagine what he'd be like with 8-9'000 Rovers at the Mem creating a noise and a buzz!?
Just my opinion..... ☠️🤪

PNE tracking Kilgour apparently straight swap with stockley would be amazing

PNE tracking Kilgour apparently He's our best defender by a mile! He backs up a lot of the mistakes the other 2 make. He will make mistakes but he stands head and shoulders above the others. And he has heart for Rovers. When fans come back, they will show their appreciation of him! JVS had a good game but I feel his positioning is not right a lot of the times. He needs to come off his line more so he can be ready to go and grab the ball at crosses etc. Ref was way too Pool friendly. Defo penalty again! 3 points matters though. Moving from Tier 4 towards safety in Tier 3 in football? UTG

Thought McCormick also deserved a mention for how he got stuck in near the end, just a pity Westbrook didn't follow is example. Pretty sure Leahy wasn't helped by being totally exposed on the left flank.

Hard fought win but further evidence we need a striker. We need competition for Hanlan if the 4231 formation is the way to go for the rest of the season which I think it is but I’m not sure we need to replace him. 8 goals in 17 games is bloody good going I’d be surprised if we bring in better in the January window. I think he’ll get 20 + if he stays fit this season. Today his penalty was saved and then he missed a chance where it was easier to score but all forwards do that. I think he’s been very good for us this season.

God we made hard work of that but great and important win. Need to win out games in hand. Need to be far more lethal when we get those chances so learn to kill teams off

He’s scored 8 goals this season and works his socks off hardly sh**e. You're talking to someone who made a career out of slagging of Matty Taylor. He made himself something out of it but I don’t know if I’d call it a career.

Tough one today..... they had a disappointing loss midweek but have only lost 2 in 14 and after an iffy start to the season following a huge turnover of players, change in style, a young manager with no league managerial experience taking over and a run of something like 6 consecutive defeats where they were bottom - the stuck with Critchley and the young team are starting to show consistency and reward them sticking with the long game. There are many similarities with us in that regard although Critchley fared differently to Garner (which I do think was the right decision forum as I think Tisdale is shrewd managerial appointment and will bring more success quicker for us without destroying the ‘master plan’.... We had a disappointing performance and loss on Boxing Day which does have some reasons behind it but a full week training (for once) and returning players will give us a lift.... I’m going for a narrow 2-1 win...... In GGMI style.......... BOOM! And it’s my birthday today! Good day all round although last 10mins or so were a bit squeaky bum like!

P.T turned club around in a few weeks . 3 out of 4 in division games and still in two cups.
The Garner model would have sent us back to division two and beyond.

PHEW! very entertaining but not good for my heart, how second half stayed goalless goodness knows! Started well ,awful Leahy error leading to there goal and period when Blackpool could have been out of sight before we scored. Two superb Rovers goals and 15 mins in second half when we could and should have put game to bed, last 30 mins backs to the wall and Blackpool wasteful! To sum up we looked creative with the ball but left huge gaps on both flanks for them to exploit and they should have done better with the space we gave them, some great individual performances littered with school boy errors, interesting non use of subs by Tis but vital 3 points, sure Tis knows what we need by now , praise for our much maligned G/K and Alfie getting back to his best. Happy New Year to all . PS interesting prematch piece by club.
