It was funny reading that thread, apparently Liz Truss made a big fuss of stopping talks until that clause was included to the bemusement of the Japanese who knew they would not be buying any dairy for physiological reasons. We really are a rare old breed, us British. Frankly I refused to be associated with people like Truss Quite frankly I purchased the audiobook of “Parliament Ltd” and as a result I refuse to be associated with any of them. As much as labour and to an extent the Lib Dem’s appeal to me politically I’m fed up of the whole political class. I was going to start a thread on it to specifically discuss politicians regardless of stripe. No party comes out of that book looking good and I’m barely 1/4 through! An awful bunch of self-serving wankers (bar the odd exception). If I could re-mould Britain politicians holding second jobs would be the first to go.

Its in the Express as well, except they call it " UK creates clever ploy to help British businesses avoid crippling EU red tape" Of course they ignore the potential loss of tax revenue to UK

“Set up in the EU” is such a flippant, couldn’t give a monkey’s comment that I can’t help but think lays bare that the people involved only wanted Brexit for their own personal gain and now they’ve got it they want to wash their hands of the issues it is going to create for British business.
Absolutely breathtaking.

www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-55796426Credit card giant Mastercard is to raise the fees it charges merchants when UK cardholders buy goods and services from the EU by fivefold. The benefits never end, so they?

Don't buy from overseas, guys, and don't let friends send you gifts either. www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-55752541A couple of weeks ago Lili Piraki, a London-based journalist, was surprised by a text out of the blue from delivery firm DHL. She was delighted to hear a friend had sent her a present: a pair of gold earrings from Greece. She was less impressed that she would have to pay nearly £30 in taxes to receive the gift. The extra charges are a result of new post-Brexit rules that came into force on 1 January. Despite the free trade deal agreed before Christmas, which promised to smooth the UK's exit from the EU, new taxes and charges now apply to almost everything that goes back and forth between the two, including gifts, second hand items, products bought on Amazon or eBay and from private sellers.

Well, I've waited all day but no, not one of the EU apologists in the Brussels fan club on here have said a word about the EU bullying the vaccine manufacturer Astra Zenica, nor anything regarding the EU threat to stop the vaccine being exported to the UK.
How very, very sad.

How very, very sad. I dont beleive any of us have called the EU perfect or anything. The whole vaccine thing (as good as it has been so far for us) is all about richer, more powerful nations/blocs trying to get ahead of each other Brexit is a 'long game' and isnt helping business and all that is going to happen (as i have said before) is we will drift back closer to the EU even if we dont rejoin
