Papa John will be delivering a football feast to your home tonight @ 7pm UTG C'mon U Blues! Turned out to be a margarita with no cheese or tomato didn’t it Al. I think Tisdale will be clearer on who he wants out after tonight though so every cloud has a silver lining. Yes Sam a positive point. Also a reminder of what football is like without strikers and why top clubs pay millions for them. New goalie good though don't you think?

Day looks very solid , good anticipation in knowing when to come out and when to stay , catches his crosses doesn’t punch and some good saves. Maybe not Anssi standard but definitely better than JVS so far.

I think last night proved that those players could not play 4 3 3. So there is some blame at Tisdale's door for the shape of the line up.

Last night just confirmed that we have very little strength in depth.
If we're forced to play many of last nights team over the coming weeks then we're in real trouble.
We need to get as many of those out on loan as we can and hopefully replace with better.

I dunno, I imagine it was a very difficult game for any Rovers player to perform well in & make a good impression. Do I think Koiki (for example) could fill in for the odd game or two for Leahy at LB and do a decent job alongside Ehmer, Kilgour & Baldwin? Yeah I do. Was he ever going to impress playing in a front 3 with Rodman & Barrett? Unlikely. I’ve always thought you can only get a proper idea of how effective a backup player will be if he’s playing as part of the first XI with quality around them. That XI last night was full of players who were rusty having played near to no football this season, and therefore lacking any kind of rhythm or confidence. Not saying I massively rate some of the stand-ins, but last night’s game was an uphill battle for all of them IMO.

The problem is we have 43 pros to occupy every day, no money in the game at any level, how do we expect to get players out this month or load up further with even a couple of new players in this window. The club must be losing a shed full of money every week with no income. I just hope we kick off next season and don't get relegated this one, we have to play 5 games in 19 days this month alone.

I thought we were going to win this easy with Ogogo back in the side Whatever gave you that impression. That was one of the decisions that Ben Garner got right.

I feel it was a bit unfair of PT to play so many players who weren't match fit at the same time, where many of them were getting what may be their only chance to show what they could do.
This was always likely to be a tired and disjointed team performance.

Player Ratings
Day - 5 - Kicked Straight into touch too often. Poor decisions with the Throw / Roll out from the back. Little - 7 - Did okay but clearly not match sharp. Harries - 5 - Out position too often. Kilgour - 5 - Nutmegged for the goal & very slow Kelly - 7.5 - Didn't really put a foot wrong in a poor side. - (MOM) Ogogo - 6 - Far too many wayward passes Grant - 6.5 - Looked better for having Agogo in the middle too. Westbrooke - 5 - Worst game in a rovers shirt. Rodman - 6 - Did okay but like little did not look match sharp. Barrett - 5.5 - Fitness was not an issue. Decision making and quality of pass was! For a big guy pushed over too often. Koiki - 4.5 - Might as well not bothered standing on the pitch for the first hour. Hare - 6 - Did Okay when he came on just not given enough time. Upson - 6 - Wayward with the passes Walker - 6 - Was actually running at the defense and going forward but caught offside too often or fouled the defender. Hargreaves - 5 - Too little time to really judge. Ayunga - 3.5 Truly, Truly awful. Looked out of his depth & didn't want to be there. Didn't chase, follow up really put in any effort. Conference player at best

I suspect that PT learnt little new about the players last night. The performance just confirmed his views on certain players. For a number of the squad it was probably the last chance saloon. Sadly very few did their chances any good.

This was always likely to be a tired and disjointed team performance. I guess it gave him a chance to look at all the fringe players and for them to put themselves in the shop window, any team looking for an LB would have probably been impresses with Kelly's performance, also with Little's at RB although I assume he's pushing for a first team place with us?

If Leahy is injured or suspended who plays in his position? Think Kelly is in pole position.

Not sure I agree with writing off the entire team based on one performance. If Liverpool or Manchester city make 7 or 8 changes to their first team line up and bring in players returning from injuries, or struggling for form then it is possible that the team will look disjointed and the players may not give a fair account of themselves. Much better to judge a player when you are introducing only one or two players a into a settled and well performing team, new players will often look different. Didn't expect much in the way of a team performance tonight and we didn't get one. I agree that some players do need to leave to allow PT to bring in new faces and rebalance the team but the merchants of doom need to keep tonight in perspective. You talk a lot of sense there Lisbon, nicely articulated. It’s not what we do on Gaschat, consider this a warning.
