I wouldn't buy one because of the pocket if nothing else. All the cheap brands of polo shirts seem to have a pocket.

Hmm, not bad. Couple of criticisms: Not digging the pocket at all. The kiddy in the vids says 1883 is a slightly subtler nod to rovers than the words bristol rovers, so why the need for an even subtler reference to the black Arabs in the diaganol sword? Two swords for me.
Also should orders increase, will the cost stay the same? Seems a bit steep to me, but can understand if this is to cover loses on a small batch.
But brilliant work, great to see fan action instead of the usual apathy...now where's my bucket hat?

But I can't find it. I've looked everywhere I can think of.

I like it, much prefer something like that than the Ralph Lauren over the top in your face kind of thing. Well done.

Picture on here doesn't do it justice. The price is reasonable when you 'feel' the quality. Club stocked a small quantity so the panel can review fans feedback, primarily of the logo to establish if an '1883' range is viable.

I think the real and only question is:
Will you buy it?

I think the real and only question is: Will you buy it?No. Primary reason: logo design

Not for me I'm afraid. The logo looks okay but I personally don't like chest pockets on anything other than proper shirts. Price seems a little steep too.
Good basis to work from though and like you've admited, you aren't ever going to please anyone!

Since no one is getting offended I'm adding my two pennies worth. Not a lover of it. Don't know if I missed something but was this 'floated' on this (or other) forums before production, and has someone laid out a lot of their own monies, or is this just to "test the water". Love the concept/work/commitment of all involved however and wish I did like it for those reasons alone, cos I feel like I'm critiquing a member of my family. Appreciate the effort. UTG!

Looks really poor here IMO, and as someone else said looks a faded black. My personal view on that is if I want a faded piece of black clothing I'll go out and buy something black and wait until it's been put through the washing machine 15 times. I also really like black clothing, so if you're going to tempt me to buy this it has to be black. That said, looks a lot better whilst being worn. Thing I dislike most is the white stripes, especially the ones on the pocket - Personally, would want the pocket removed. The logo looks good to me. Those complaining are saying they would prefer if it had the badge or our name on, but thats the point of this? To be rovers related but to also be something you can wear out not only at football.

Agreed Miami. Great effort by all involved. However, might have been worth doing mock ups first and then testing them on a cross-section of the fan base before going to production.
My three main suggestions:
1) Make it black OR grey - not somewhere in-between - it looks like it was black but has massively faded 2) Remove the pocket. Looks naff. £19.99 is pretty steep for a polo so it should look "smart". You're unlikely to find a Lacoste/Ralph Lauren polo with pockets. Granted they cost even more, but you get the point I'm making; if you're going for an upmarket polo, make it look upmarket and remove the pocket 3) The logo doesn't do it for me. Two swords in a crossbones type style may solve the issue as previously suggested by others. Alternatively, a skull and crossbones with 1883 underneath might look pretty badass
Again though, well done to all involved for giving it a go. With a few tweaks I think it'll do very well.

That clarified, I'm not a fan of navy blue at all so it wouldn't matter how good or bad it looked.

That photo doesn't do much for it either as it shows a lot of creases. Not very aesthetic.

i'll be buying one and I really like the attempts at making some more subtle Rovers merchandise.
I don't like wearing replica shirts, rovers polo tops with the badge on etc at games, but would wear one of those.
Few tweaks that could be made, but not bad for a first effort. Good job.

As a panel member I agree the shop photo is not that good, when I saw the shirts hanging up last week,my 1st thought was "they look like they need a good ironing!" They do look so much better being worn and the quality is good. What we are interested in,is the 1883 logo a goer? We did look at a crossed sword design instead of a single sword,so maybe we could look at it again. The idea was to come up with something a little bit different to the stuff already in the shop,as plenty of people do not want to wear(especially out and about)a shirt etc, with a pirate/badge/skull"n" crossbones dominating. Funny thing is gaschaters, the reaction on the other forum is more positive! Now that has surprised me!Goes to show you cannot please everyone.hope you all agree though it is a start.
