Ayunga, Harries, Day and Leahy aren’t league one standard in my opinion. None of those would get a job at another league one side if released. Looking at the strength and league one experience of the Pompey squad, I can only see this going one way I’m afraid. This has aged well! What a performance from all 4 of them! |

Tonight the result matters. It’s all that really matters. Who plays, who doesn’t doesn’t really matter. What matters is a team performance and a result that can start to build our fight back. I do so hope that this squad can do it this evening. This result mattered. We are now top of the mini league of clubs struggling. We also got a performance that we can all be happy with. The save from Day and the team response showed the spirit that all on here wanted to see. Can we now be as happy as this team will be tonight? Certainly I am happy and I’m not the only one. |

Ayunga 2 sensational finishes, Day sounds like he's had a great game and a superb penalty save.

Get in. Joe Day fantastic game, crucial saves and a Penalty save. McCormick superb midfield performance Jonah with 2 cracking goals. Hard to pick the MOM, but I guess Jonah should get it for his brace. Much improved all round team performance. Well done Gas 👏 |
