Day 7.5 another great penalty save
Baldwin 6 not his finest
Kilgour 5 too slow
Harries 5 so sloppy on the ball and gets beat easily 1v1
Williams 5 had to at least hit the target
Grant 6.5 one of our better players
McCormick 6 as Williams, has to start hitting the target
Leahy 6 didn’t see much of him today
Daly 5 didn’t offer much
Hanlan 6 decent first half looks better on the wing
Ayunga 6 our most dangerous attacker
Subs: Nicholson 5 offered nothing
Rodman 6 one good run

Day 6.5 little to do, saved pen but maybe should have done better with 2nd goal
Baldwin 6 that’s 7 for first half and 5 for second
Kilgour 6 as above
Harries 6 as above
Williams - 4 With so little work defensively needed to offer much more going forward. Should have scored.
Grant 7 - another good performance, so disciplined in his positioning and played it easy.
McCormick 6 Good first half possibly tired in second. Should have scored.
Leahy 4 with so little work defensively needed to offer much more going forward.
Daly 5 worked hard but we need to find a system that gets our most natural finisher in the box more often.
Hanlan 6 caused them real problems at times but should have scored at least one.
Ayunga 6.5 led the line well especially in first half, a real handful
Subs: Nicholson 3 offered nothing

Day 7 a decent game, saved a poor penalty and generally looked confident. Baldwin 5.5 struggled with Gills big forwards Kilgour 5 Alf has gone off the boil, struggled today Harries 5.5 As Alf. Williams 6 a decent game but faded later on Grant 7 overworked in midfield but stuck to his task well McCormick 7.5 M.o.M unlucky with a free kick that rattled the woodwork,always involved. Leahy 6 steady Daly 5.5 ran around a lot. Hanlan 6 looked better today playing slightly wider Ayunga 6.5 the best of the forwards, won plenty in the air and kept Gills defence busy. Subs: Nicholson 5 little impact. Rodman. 5 as Nicholson Hargreaves n.o.l.e a ridiculous sub much too late Tutonda n.o.l.e. as Hargreaves. Ref 6 decent Gillingham 6 bang average, they took their chances, we didn't. |

Day 8 any penalty save gets extra marks, but I don't like how he stays on his line too much and allows chances in our own 6yard box. I thought Bonham had a better all round game.
Baldwin 5 ball watching too much.
Kilgour 5 where was he for the 2nd?
Harries 5 same as above 2 and collective mistakes helped us lose the match comfortably.
Williams 6 marginally better than the collective defence as the goals didn't come from his position.
Grant 7.5 some nice interceptions.
McCormick 7 m o m busy game but booked too easily and lovely cross hit bar.
Leahy 6.5 no coincidence 2nd originated from his position after his sub.
Daly 6.5 busy without threatening.
Hanlan 7 worked hard, produced a great tip on post.
Ayunga 7 looking more like a striker with potential to be formidable.
Subs: Nicholson 6 anonymous.
Rodman 5 anonymous.
Hargreaves nole - but on long enough to lose us the match, but why was he the closest player to Akinde for the 2nd?

Ref 4 awful booking when was a 50/50 ball allowing another Steve Evans player to go down like he'd been amputated on the spot!
Gillingham 5 we competed against them and on another day would have scored at least once. They defended well, but our every match defence mistake got punished ruthlessly..
I'm all for effective change, but have to question Tut and Hargreaves sub (was it to waste time?) that appeared unforced, yet exposedour defensive frailties.
