Day 8 great save where he got injured
Williams 8 looked like a natural centre back
Kilgour 8 did well for 91 minutes
Harries 8 same
Rodman 9 really was a handful today
Grant 8 dominated the middle
McCormick 9 his energy and effort, in a loan player, fantastic
Leahy 9 always a goal threat, looked solid defensively too
Westbrooke 8 his best game in a rovers shirt, bad set piece deliveries though
Nicholson 8 busy, some wonderful touches and a few nice shots
Hanlan 8 scored the winner, looked a different player after the goal
Subs: Ayunga 7 held the ball up nicely

Day Needed a good game and had one although in fairness had very little to do until injury time. 7
Williams Mix up with Baldwin set up a soft goal but otherwise a solid display 7.5
Kilgour Playing well but still frustrating that neither centre half stayed with their striker on the goal. Alfie misses an experienced partner in defence not sure if he loses concentration or what but on occasion just seems to be ball watching 7
Harries Good game today but against a weak attack 7.5
Rodman Played well today but didn't see him influence the game in the way others clearly did 7.5
Grant Must be winning over the doubters by now, another powerful performance, shame could get his shot on target but growing in influence as the season goes on. 8
McCormick Not as influential today but still worked hard and has a great partnership with Grant developing 7.5
Leahy He has changed my opinion over the past few games and I thought today he really seemed committed to the cause played well defensively and in attack 8.5 MOTM
Westbrooke Another who hopefully quietened his critics today, influential in most of our positive attacking moments including both goals. Links well with Nicholson 8
Nicholson Worked hard and holds the ball up well, one multiple free kicks, now needs a goal 8
Hanlan The goal will lift him particularly as he finished tamely when set up by Westbrooke in the first half 8
Subs: Ayunga He is good cover for Hanlon has nice touch and is a handful 7
Koiki NOLE

Day 7.5 a quiet game but did everything right when called upon Williams 7.5 a good solid game,showed versatility when the formation changed. Kilgour 7 decent but a bit lax late on. he misses Craig alongside him. Harries 7 similar to Alf, more good than bad though. Grant 8 protected the defence well Rodman 8 I thought he played well today, he showed much needed experience. McCormick 7. Shrews targeted him for some rough stuff but.as usual kept going with his usual high energy. Leahy 8.5 M.o.M. another goal at a critical time, he is in a rich vein of form and carries the captaincy well. Westbrooke 8 apart from a couple of poor free kick he conducted the midfield with skill and vision. Nicholson 7. although not fully fit played his part giving Shrews plenty to think about. Hanlan. 8 a welcome overdue goal well taken, and as always put in a great shift. Subs: Ayunga 7 a good sub appearance, he's gaining in confidence after Tisdale's unkind comments. Koiki ] Baldwin ] N.o.l.e Upson ] van Stappershoef 9 saved the points Ref 6 missed a blatant penalty but otherwise ok. Shrewsbury 5 they were poor, or perhaps we just made them looked poor. |

Day 8: nothing to do all game and put his body on the line with an exceptional last ditch save
Williams 7.5: assured performance, never put a foot wrong.
Kilgour 7: won everything in the air. Fell asleep for Shrewsbury goal.
Harries 8: calm and collected throughout. Some important challenges.
Rodman 9 MOTM
Grant 8: really growing into the role. One of our most consistent performers.
McCormick 7.5: energy and passion in abundance. Never stopped working.
Leahy 8.5: another goal and didn’t put a foot wrong all game. Stepped up since being made captain.
Westbrooke 8.5: best performance to date. Looks a different player in a advanced role.
Nicholson 7.5: caused problems with his pace and trickery. Needs to stay fit for remainder of season.
Hanlan 7.5: well taken goal will do his confidence wonders. Wasted 2 good early chances.

van Stappershoef: 8 fantastic reaction save at the death. Played an important part as any with that save in what must of been a difficult situation to step into.
Ref: 6.5 missed some blatant fouls and a couple of penalty shouts. Other than that decent.
Shrewsbury 4: expected more from the leagues in form team. Rovers nullified them front start to the 90th minute.

Day 7 nothing to do.
Williams 7 quiet game which is good.
Kilgour 7 ok game but missed header that set up their goal.
Harries 8 pick of the defenders, really liked he kept tall bald bloke quiet and I definitely caught him blocking and tracking his runs subtly. Like it!
Rodman 8.5 pick of the mid, excellent passing for 3rd.
Grant 6 not his best game.
McCormick 7.5 consistently good.
Leahy 8.5 m o m great organisation especially in defence, capped with a nice goal.
Westbrooke 8.5 great assist for 2nd and general approach play was what we've been needing for months.
Nicholson 7.5 a nuisance for Shrewsbury and linked up well with rest of mid.
Hanlan 8 one goal and a diversionary run for the first, plus a couple of other shots on target. Well done Brendon (!)
Subs: Ayunga 7.5 physical presence needed.
Koiki 4 still don't understand his involvement.
Baldwin 4 no need for him to come on.
Upson 4 can't remember anything he done.
van Stappershoef 10 preserved our win even though nole.
Ref 3 missed 2 pens for me and whistles for fouls that were genuinely 50/50 challenges.
Shrewsbury 3 poor. Looked like they didn't care for the result. JB said movement off the ball made a difference, and whilst I believe him it's difficult to verify that from single camera.
Credit to JB for the win, but that's 2 matches on the trot his subs at the death hand the initiative and advantages to opposition when it looks unforced substitutions.
