Not sure if others heard Barton's post match interview but he confirmed that JVS had recently lost his father to COVID, which must be particularly hard to take for anyone stuck in another country when it occurs.

Think it was his fiancé’s father not his own, still sad none the less. Did Joey get it wrong in his interview then? Would explain editing it out.

He's actually played a fair amount of games for a number 2 keeper with Jaakkola's injury record and the Pizza Trophy etc. I believe he's actually the 2nd Dutch keeper to play for Rovers. Can anyone name the other one without googling it!? Michel Kuipers See I reckon he's the third. Anyone name the second for a cookie - Kuipers being the first of course...

Correct! I don't think he played many games for us, but was Brighton's number 1 for a while Think he only played once. Cult hero at Brighton though. You are correct he only played once for us...Bournemouth away.

Kind of think JVS should win the shirt for the next game.
It would be unfair on Day...just in principle he should get it.
I do think he has a clanger in him. Day is more the finished article.

I'd be tempted to do that anyway and see how the defence react to it. You could see in the Shrewsbury goal that Alfie was trying to cover Days near post rather than the man who tapped the goal in.

Day should play - hopefully he will be fit for Tuesday.
No disrespect to JVS but Day is the better keeper.
