Let's not get too disheartened or downbeat. I didn't see us getting beat last night before a harsh red card that cost us at least a point if not 3 against a relegtion rival. However we have looked better the last couple of games and we need to stop panicking and trust that we are generally going the right way. If we start to panic then that one small thing Last night can become a bigger and bigger thing.
UTG and on to Saturday. Who knows we might surprise a few people.

It's a nice post and the reason we should keep calm and carry on us because it's already happened!
Swindon. Wigan. Burton.
We've played well enough to win all those 5 matches, and haven't won any 6pointers. Tells you all you need to know.....

We've spent our whole season panicking, not sure why we should change now.

Think I will panic until we are official safe, if that happens. I agree we have been playing better. My worry is, that with Hull on Saturday and then Accrington who we never beat, the new bounce and confidence might be over. Never know though, we beat Portsmouth and in form Shrewsbury.

Think this post is spot on. There is an awful lot of football still to be played and fortunes can change very quickly. All it takes is a lucky or unlucky break and it can start you off on that great/disastrous run . The law of averages dictates that we have had our share of the latter and lady luck is about to shine on us at last. A couple of months ago Southampton were flying high but have been in free fall since, Torquay were 12/or more points clear in National league , now they are no longer favourites, others are moving the other way (at the moment) Burton, being out played by us then get a lucky break, Cardiff ( despite appointing a 'terrible' manager!) storming up the table, It's our turn now starting with a positive result against Hull, We are set for lift off!!

There's still a load of games and points to play for but realistically anything at Hull will be a bonus. A real feel good result would be 3 points from the Accrington game. We were recently humiliated there and the players have an opportunity to regain some professional pride.

Bump. Did anyone really expect us to get anything yesterday? We did OK and we can't control the other results that unfortunately went against us.
I'm strangely optimistic. I think we'll be sitting here next week much happier with 4 or 6 points against Accrington and Wimbledon. If not then I will be really worried. I just hope the 3 points is against Wimbledon if so as I have a funny feeling we might beat Accy but draw WITH Wimbledon!
McCormick will be back too don't forget! 😎

Given we rarely beat Accrington then Tuesday will be tough given the two team's respective recent form.You just have to hope the players stepping up to 1st team action, if Barton is brave enough to to carry out his threat to drop the likes of Leahy, can step up to the plate, but this season's starting to feel like previous relegation season's, we can't score whilst giving away cheap goals. I'd like to see Tutonda and Ayunga start just to send out a message to the Saturday's 1st teamers. Day Williams Ehmer Kilgore Baldwin Tut's Upson Westbrook McCormick Rodman (or Hanlan) Ayunga Nicholson

Out of the teams left I'm gonna say I want Burton to stay up for a number of reasons;
1. They've the best goal difference down there 2. They have got joint most games remaining 3. Good run of form 4. They play three teams down with us
They could really help us out.
I think the following will definitely go down;
Rochdale Wimbledon Northampton
This would leave one place between our good selves, Swindle and Wigan
The Swindle game is a must win.
I think if we also win the other 6 pointers we'll be ok.
Bad runs can't last forever. You could say done of the other teams still have a bad run left in them

Wimbledon and Rochdale look done but it will only take a run of a couple of wins for any side to pull away.

I cannot see us escaping. We have no leaders on the pitch, we have no spine down the midle of the team, some of our "signings" have been woeful. When Coughlan took over and we were 19th he brought in a goalie, a centre half, a midfielder, and a striker. A spine that helped us escape and go up the league the following season. Now we have an average Goalie, 2 kids at centre half, a ball winner who isn't very good (Grant), and a non existant attack.
I hope Barton stays and gets us out of Division 2 but he needs to get rid of some of the dross we have.

As Frosty put we seem to be sleep walking into league 2, expect some massive changes to redress this awful run.

They have one or two games in hand over the others (including us) and are on the same points as we are. If they're done, then we're done.
