Usually I'd agree with you but I'm pretty sure he's living just outside of Bristol and I could see why a wage, especially at the moment would be of interest. Add in his ten years of previous employment at the club I don't think it's utterly mad. If it happened I'd be both surprised and not surprised. I would be surprised as he once told me that he would never work for Bristol Rovers again but not surprised as I think his distain was towards the previous owners. I did reply to him, never say never. It's 19 years since he was last with us, plenty has changed. Like I said there's positives and negatives for him, I think it would be a coup for the club.

Not a chance he goes from head of recruitment at Celtic to Scout at Bristol Rovers. You don’t “usually” agree with me often 😂 I exchanged a few texts with him when BG got the job, I think his sights are set higher than us! Maybe that changed though 🤷🏻♂️

Reported by football insider two days ago that he is being binned at the end of the season by Celtic and we are already about to take him on according to someone who has no doubt read the insider article. I think TW on the board at our club might be safer than some believe. Another ex player about to be sacked and linked with us, where have I heard that before. I didn't read this mate but I do work with someone close to him

Certainly the optics of it as an appointment would help get fans back on board.

If there is one person I have always wanted to see return to the club it is Gary Penrice. 🙏 🤞

Nothing has changed with our stadium apart from a few more tents and a load more rust!

We did own Hambrook but following taking over the club the Dunfords had to sell it to a local consortium to clear outstanding VAT bills left by the previous owners.

That's a good read, it would be great if he came back in some capacity.

Barry Hayles, Jamie Cureton, Jason Roberts, Nathan Ellington and Bobby Zamora. What an incredible crop of strikers we had here during his time at the club. Most of those he had a direct influence in bringing to the club through his contacts and eye for a player.

Didn't he coach the strikers too, i remember he worked with Roberts on his finishing with great success.
