Well a good chance for some of the fringe players to get a game anyway. I guess most fans would have preferred it to be away. With it being at home surely they cannot charge full price? Its embarrassing being in this cup but it would be more embarrassing losing in the first round to one of these teams.

Regarding ticket prices. If it's the same as the FA Cup in where the away team gets a percentage of sales would we get ourselves in the sh** if we slashed prices? Unless we could convince whoever we play to change them.

I was thinking of suggesting a buy one get one free with the Gateshead game. The thing with that is us season ticket holders will be getting stitched up.

Why doesn't the club just slash the prices as I can't see why are opponents would object to that move?

Well a good chance for some of the fringe players to get a game anyway. Exactly this. If we lose first team players to injury or suspension in this micky mouse competition,we have only got ourselves to blame.

Can you imagine if he said that lol? Oh, Jesus!!! Made I laugh....
Just wondering why the game has to be moved just because City are at home? We won't have any police at the Mem, anyway, so it's not police manpower is it?

I can't recall a game where there was no Police presence, at least outside the ground, even this season?

I suppose a couple outside, but I thought it was said during the Jason Brown (Dartford g-k) discussions that there were no police about?

DC has already indicated that he will play a strong team as he wants to go to Wembley Yep and so do I and all other Rovers fans if they are honest. DC had assembled a large quality squad which meant 1st team players didn't even make the bench Saturday. The JPT run didn't negatively affect us when we got to the final in fact it galvanised the team to push on in the league. I certainly wouldn't say no in making further history if it meant we went to Wembley twice in 2015 especially as realistically it's a cup we can win.

I can see it the headline now. Rovers win FA trophy but miss out on the playoffs after losing last 5 games due to loads of suspensions and an injury crisis. DC says oh well at least I went to Wembley.

I'm glad he's in charge of team selection and not some of you.

The only way we can reduce normal match day prices is with the agreement of our opponents. After all, it's them that will be affected by it as well as us. Simples

Simples surely as the home club we get the say in what it costs??? all clubs charge different prices so you cant really specify a price across the board, and if we did reduce prices it would be to make a greater overall income anyway so everyone happy??? interesting topic anyhows.....

Grimsby fan...
You really don't understand the FA Trophy yet mate do you!!??
It should be re-named the Season Wrecker Trophy, sh**e attendances all the way through and 4 or 5 game fixture backlog if you get as far as the Semis!!

It should be re-named the Season Wrecker Trophy, poop attendances all the way through and 4 or 5 game fixture backlog if you get as far as the Semis!! Yeah but Grimsby fans are bound to say that as they have had bad experiencesn of the competition the past couple of seasons. 2 years ago they lost in the final before losing in the playoffs. Then last season they lost in the semis of the fa trophy before losing in the playoffs. They are using the fa trophy as an excuse for their failure. I would be more interested to hear from a Cambridge fan as they won the fa trophy and promotion from the play offs last season so it certainly wasn't a "season wrecker" for them.
