Who is Alan Drove? You don’t know that 50 points will be enough. It sometimes isn’t. You quote how we had harder matches even though it’s averaged or don’t you understand what averages mean. Why would we expect 4-6 points, based on what? He wasn’t that young as Mourinho and Wenger were managing top teams at 35. He was the one that signed young players yet you use it as an excuse. The bottom line is that he had the authority of a limp lettuce and is still the worst appointment I can recall. We went backwards, don’t kid yourself. If you knew what average meant you would understand that the average is skewed by playing more of the higher teams than lower. It’s absolute basics. He wasn’t that young? He was 39 for gods sake. The only thing that has gone backwards is our results and points total since Garner was sacked. That is absolute 100% fact. Same players, same squad, same league, same year. Hang on a second, you refuse to acknowledge that Garner took us backwards? We were 4th and he had “same players, same squad, same league” and dropped to 14th. In the new season he managed to drop us even lower down to 18th. Worst manager since 1980s. These are all facts.

As a dot to dot drawing is difficult to produce on here:
Garner this season v top 5:
Played 5 W 1 D 1 L 3 Points 4 PPG 0.8
Garner this season v all other:
Played 6 W 2 D 2 L 2 Points 8 PPG 1.33
Garner points average by Month: September (3 games) 1 point October (6 games) 11 points November (2 games) 0 points
So after 1.83 points per game in October over a 6 game run including beating top of the league Lincoln we sacked Garner for 1 poor performance against Fleetwood.
We lost to Peterborough to two long range efforts and played quite well.
Anyone that says Garner wasn’t improving or has taken us backwards or is a clown I am afraid is a flat earther. Just totally ignoring the facts for opinion.
No manager in the world could revamp a squad from Old to young and reduce a salary bill and then beat the top 5 beat sides in the league in their first 11 games.
What planet are some of you on? We revamped the squad and then sacked the manager and it has gone downhill since then.
Note - we lost his last 3 out of 4 league games because we played the top 3 teams in the league! His last 4 games was actually 2 wins and 2 losses including the FA Cup.
It is highly likely we would have gone unbeaten against Chelsea U21s, Swindon, Wigan and Darlington which would have had us up into mid table and progressed in both cups.
The sacking ahead relegated us. No doubts in my mind.

Apologies if posted before, but the BBC report sums up our ineffective and naïve team... Hull City moved top of League One with a professional victory at home against struggling Bristol Rovers.
The visitors - now in the relegation zone - never laid a glove on in-form City, who eased to a third win on the bounce with two goals from Gavin Whyte. Rovers left-back Cian Harries was culpable for Whyte's opening goal after 32 minutes when he tried to see out the ball for a goal-kick on the right touchline. Mallik Wilks refused to give up the cause and craftily gained possession before crossing centrally towards Whyte. The on-loan Cardiff winger's volley was hardly pleasing on the eye but it was precise enough to find the bottom right-hand corner. The well-organised Tigers bossed the game thereafter and claimed a deserved second on the hour when three Rovers players were unnecessarily lured towards Wilks from a long ball. George Honeyman cashed in on the defensive mix-up and selflessly teed up Whyte to stab home from just outside the six-yard box.
I said it yesterday - JB needs to reverse his decision on Ledley and get some experience in there Edit - I thought it was Leahy that was at fault for the first goal, but otherwise the report sums us up 'never laid a glove....' Would that be the same BBC report that says we had more shots on target than Hull and twice as many corners? Yes I do know that sticking the ball in the net is all that counts and yes we lost, yes we made 2 terrible defensive mistakes...but this is a typically lazy BBC report. Doesn't sum up at all accurately in my view. And no - if JB has already assessed Ledley and says he is not fit then he should not panic and reverse the decision.

His first appointment and managerial job? Where the loyal gas head family supporters called him a C*NT away at MK Dons in his 3rd game? Where he lost our best player to injury in the same game? The same two and a half months he had to take over two weeks off sabbatical to care for his ill infant daughter? Yes, he struggled. Wouldn’t most have?

Always a excuse with him and someone else's fault.

I wish Garner all the best in his future employment within the game. Regardless of his performance no individual Rovers manager or player should have to endure personal abuse from the fans. In truth, his tenure as manager was little short of disastrous. He has left us with a team that habitually loses every week apart from the odd performance that raises a false dawn.
Regardless of the blame, the squad that was assembled under his managership is lamentable. This squad has seen two managers already sacked this season and Barton is struggling to get points from them. If three managers in total can't get results you have to look at the players and the recruitment of them.

Your "it is highly likely we would have gone unbeaten" is nonsense and pointless as an argument as we'll never know. We "might" have gone unbeaten, but we might not have. The board had to make a decision with enough of the season left to improve results and performances. It hasn't worked, but only because Tisdale was unable to make the team perform, not because we sacked a good manager. Maybe we would have been better off sticking with Garner for a bit longer, but that's moot.

Portsmouth aren't any better than us at the moment. But they have a lot more points than us and have earned the right to be up near the top. I would gladly swop for that outcome. That's not what I meant. I meant that us beating Pompey wasn't that great a result in comparison as they're struggling at the moment.

It's funny, I thought we paid managers to come in and manage - not learn as they go and fail. It's funny how you mention about Jaakola getting injured and saying it doesn't count as having the "same players", but he's out now and for most/all of Tisdale's reign - but for them, they have the "same players". Never mind the fact that the only fit striker we had was Hanlan, with Daly & Ayunga out. Double standards much? If Garner managed to hear a fan calling him a Special lady garden and that affected his performance, then the bloke should never manage any football club ever again. No wonder our side is so mentally weak if that is the case. Being a new manager is not an excuse to being a sh*t one. Barton did well as a new manager, as did Coughlan, as did DC. Garner isn't a manager, as much as he wants to believe.

Dont think he has any choice but to change personnel, we make 1/2 mistakes a game and it always costs us a goal.I hate watching as its like a horror film you know there's something nasty about to happen and it inevitably does. A quick look at sofa score statistics, Hull 2 shots on target = 2 goals Burton 5 shots on target = 2 goals Wigan 3 shots on target = 2 goals Gillingham 3 shots on target = 2 goals Interesting and I bet our corresponding shots etc are double /treble that, shows something rotten at the heart of our defence.

Or rather Day isn't good enough. Generally speaking, I'd be happy with the defence only allowing 2/3 shots on target all game.
