I like the 4 2 3 1. And would keep it. So... Jakolla / Day Little Ehmer Harries Tutonda Upson McCormick Rodman Nicholson Hanlon Daly Annsi has a set back in training last week and is at least a few weeks away. And thus ready for international duty Will be Day for quite a few matches

Its tricky as if you are trying to imprint patterns of play and the teams interactivity with each other so ideally you dont want to keep changing things.
Perhaps the back 3 need some experience. Is mark little fit enough ?
Grasping at straws but perhaps.
Hare baldwin little kilgour leahy

Can't tell if serious about the Leahy up front suggestion? Or the back 4 as 4 centre backs! Definitely serious about Leahy in midfield / left front. He has pace, good cross and good heading as well as a good shot. Can’t understand why he doesn’t take some free kicks! Makes too many mistakes in defence so costly! Leahy has much more energy up front and does well there for us? Harries I would not class as a centre back? Little is also a good option at back!

Has the fitness to play in there.whats to lose

hanlan has run his guts off for this team give him a rest put jvs back in goal for confidence ehmer back at center half give leahy a rest try hare his crossing ability is crucial rest williams let tutonda have a chance we've got nothing up front and will never have until jb gets a chance in the transfer window but alas i think it will be to late hargreaves is another choice for midfield but send the turkish midfielder back to charlton and say you get rid of him we don't want him! get behind jb he will make this club what it should be!

If he has always been weak in defence I’m surprised no one has ever exploited his attacking talents??

I can't see Little starting after Barton basically said he wasn't fit enough to be considered, along with Ledley, after last week's DS game.

We don't need to, make a lot of changes . Christ it was hardly a disaster to lo9se 2-0 at Hull with them creating very few chances. Just take out the two players who cost us the game at the back (Kilgour and Leahy) and stick Ayunga up front with Hanlan and we have a chance.
Day
Williams Baldwin or Ehmer Harries Tutonda
McCormick
Rodman Nicholson Westbrooke
Hanlon Ayunga

Surely it's clear for all to see that we need goals.
The best chance of scoring goals is to play your most natural finisher.
If JB doesn't start Daly on Tuesday it's clear he's not cut out for this either.
Honestly it's not f**king rocket science. We need a manager who gives us a fighting chance - PLAY YOUR BEST FINISHER.
* The Barton comment is tongue in cheek but seriously, come on FFS

We need goals to stay up, not looking good is it?

Why are people leaving Nicholson out of their line ups? Have I missed something and he’s been rul out by injury?

Wilmslowgas, That is very disrespectful to the players in our club as there have been many good perfo9rmances in the last four games (under Barton) to restrict the chances to the opposition to very few and yet have a lot of shots ourselves. Our problems yesterday were down to Leahy and Kilgour. Take them out of our team defensively and we might get some decent results. Going to two up top Ayunga and Hanlon may also increase our chances. Harries seems to get more than his fair share of stick for defensive mistakes and yet again it was Kilgour and Leahy the main offenders. What Kilgour was up to for their second goal, only he can know. Came flying across from the centre to a high ball down the left channel that Harries was set to deal with, knocks him out the way and gifts the winger a free run down the left. Likewise Leahy's schoolboy error in trying to shield a ball that was never going out of play was very poor judgement at best. Thought Harries dealt very well with a number of hospital passes from Kilgour all game and is far more comfortable on the ball when under pressure than Kilgour ever is. I agree - under barton. I was totally against harries earlier this season, thought he was awful. I’m also not one to pick on players but I couldn’t see anything redeeming. Recently he’s been solid, can certainly tackle and his long passes out the back are nothing short of brilliant. Nearly always close to target and often just that bit ahead to make it interesting. He’s a good player in the making. Main issue is too slow. Looks deceptively like he isn’t interested and lollops around like a Great Dane.
