He refuses to take any of the blame so he's getting blamed for not taking any of the blame which was his plan all along to take all the blame? The bloke's a f**king genius. Joey Bartons standard model: ![](https://i.postimg.cc/VNv4ksnN/sml-small.jpg) Countdown just got real..

It’s refreshing to hear a manager tell it how it is instead of listening to a load of cliche driven bullshit interviews. Have you not heard all the meaningless analogies Barton likes to throw in? “Dust ourselves down” “Climbing Mount Everest” etc It’s like cliche 101. I don’t think Barton’s alone in that. He could come on and say the players are sh**e and we’re going down I suppose. To be fair that would be a fair reflection of the position we are in but I suppose he is trying to show enthusiasm and some positivity. DC used to useless the same cliches constantly and in a dour slightly aggressive manner to the interviewer, which I used to find intensely irritating. I’m still hanging in there with JB and I literally couldn’t face starting again with a new manager........!

Some peoples bizarre obsession and dislike of Barton is actually sad. Imagine wanting someone to fail which will ultimately result in our club failing.
Strange strange ‘fanbase’.

I didnt want him here, but I dont want him to fail. Far from it. I would like him to succeed even if I have to hold my nose He has had 9 games, we have 9 to go. I dont want to hear all the excuses and problems. It comes across that he has accepted relegation whatever else he says and I think that gives out a poor message, not to mention slagging off a player last week who is now out injured for the season, serving zero purpose It matters not whether he speaks the truth, and I dont necessarily disagree with him, but its a dangerous game. He said the players want to learn, they care etc, but then says they have been set up to fail. He will have had 18 games to do something about that come the end of the season

Don't you think its stranger that people who thought Joey would save us and still love Joey were already saying they still want him here next season if we get relegated, despite that we were 2 points above the drop zone with 16 games left only a few weeks back.... People want us to stay up which is why they're being critical.... Its not an 'obsession and dislike', its a concern to why so many believe he's done anything to improve our situation.... At the moment I can't see any improvement, in fact its looking worse by the day....

Such a cracking post, which just about sums it all up...we are worse than we were before St.Joey arrived. 7 (seven) points from a possible 27 (twenty seven), which is worse than Garner and Tisdale. The only improvement is in the number of cliches and the amount of manager speak we get per minute of post match interview.

I am gonna save the bullshit and bluster until JB has had a chance to sign a few players and get a pre season in to them, gonna hang my coat on the nail now and say I hope he stays to get that chance.

It's hugely alarming how he's brainwashed an army of followers. I'd almost liken it to the whole Trump situation.

Objectively, manager A and B have both failed with this squad, granted, C is failing as well, but what purpose does it serve sticking the boot into manger C when there’s clearly a much deeper issue(s) at the club?
A assembled the squad, B had a chance to tweak it - C has had neither opportunity and has come in to try and pick up the pieces.
Looking at that equation realistically how the f**k can you blame manager C, let alone personally attack him at every opportunity?
If you didn’t want Barton as manager you are entitled to that view, but the reality is he is here, and he is OUR manager. The constant personal attacks will help nobody. You only have to watch the games under Barton to know we’re giving it a much better go now, even if the results aren’t showing it. We’re creating many more chances and playing much better football - if we can’t cut out the individual errors or poor finishing that isn’t on the manager, he can only set the team up with the best possible chance of winning. He isn’t making Kilgour head it through to opposition forwards, he isn’t giving Day and Jordi paper wrists, he isn’t making Hanlan miss 5 chances per game.
If 3 managers have failed you need to look at the common denominator, it isn’t rocket science, so I know a lot of this hatred and stuff is fuelled purely by the fact manager C is Joey Barton.
I’d just say, if Joey Barton bothers you that much, that you have to come on here and repeatedly post how much you hate him etc then I suggest you give ‘supporting’ the club a break. Because in truth you aren’t supporting you’re just adding to a growing ‘cancer’ that runs much deeper than sh** player recruitment.

Off topic slightly but anyone know how Garner’s getting on in his new job as Captain of a cargo ship?

I just mean it's got that feel to it - how divisive things are and with extreme views in both camps and no real middle ground. To some he can do no wrong, to others he can do no right.

Yeah I think thats probably fair. I do agree that he probably shouldn't be saying the things he is saying but I'm just so glad to see someone with a bit a fire is finally sticking a rocket up the club. It's long overdue.
