Well I was expecting a hammering today - so 1-0 is a bit of a relief.
There are, to coin a phrase, a lot of positives from that today - but we all know the negatives that will relegate us are our woeful finishing, and our inability to stay organised at the back for a whole game and vs set pieces.

Decent first half apart from gifting the goal.
Second half passed us by until the last ten minutes.

Sad thing was Sunderland only had to get off the bus, get changed, hardly even bother to do anything but score with a set piece. Tummy being tickled week after week, squad just not anywhere near strong enough to battle their way out. Sunderland were no great shakes, they didn’t need to be.

I know we see the game differently as we're fans but I hate watching our players & coaches walking off after a loss, when we're in the bottom three, laughing and joking with the opposition (including you Clint Hill, maybe more time spent working on defending set pieces wouldn't go amiss).

Thing is.. we still got 6 weeks of defeats after defeats.
That's the painful bit and if we are not careful it could spread over to next season and beyond. Very sad times for our club.

Not watching again today and seems like I made the right call. Only scored in 1 game of our last 5. Shocking. So your one of these people that only watch when were winning ? And then come on to gloat. I would'nt have wanted to have been in the trenches with you. |

I only wish we could clear out ALL the crap ASAP...
Today Williams , Hanlan and Westbrook’s did not do enough. Barrett truly needs to be playing at Weston Super Mare.
Zain was good first half , Pablo put in a shift, Alfie diluted Wyke.
Great to see Anssi back ... Rest was ninety minutes of huff and puff with no end product.!

We gave it a good go and had some decent spells, so credit to the lads for that.
Can’t be switching off from set pieces though, that’s always going to punish us no matter how well we play.
Hopefully we do less watching YouTube videos and more work on defending set plays next week.

It's quite liberating not giving a sh**. Wednesday I was so miserable someone could have offered me 50 quid for nothing and I'd have told them to f**k off. |
