Well those players and agents will be told that there isn't a future at the club and they will never play first team football . The younger ones will look for a new club. Most of those out of contract are the older ones (the better ones) Just tell them they will have to clean the bogs while Bolders is still in there. They would soon run for the hills..

We're not a big fish. we're a poorly run medium sized club at best. We do have an incredible fan base though Out of interest how many L2 club's owners have spent £3m of their own money keeping the club going this season? When it comes to the number of fans and owners financial support we'll probably be one of the biggest fish, unfortunately Wael and the fans are usually let down by the people he employs.

Certainly do not think we would be a big fish in tier4 ! When i started watching we were a good tier 2 team ( championship as now) before settling down to be a tier 3 team who had the occasional seasons in tier 2. We have fallen a further tier now and we seem to be a tier 4 team with the occasional seasons in 3. That's the reality of our situation , not exactly a great success story but at least we have survived!

To be honest we probably deserve to be at L2 level. Wael is doing his best to try and bring the club into the 21st century with The Quarters training ground but ultimately a new stadium is required to be seriously competitive in L1, and bring in the kind of money required to sustain Championship football. Tranmere, Bolton, Bradford could consider themselves a bigger club than Rovers, and we must surely have the worst ground in L1. Other teams have progressed while we have stood still.

Not many worse in league 2.Barrow and Harrogate perhaps and Sutton's who seem certs to come up isn't very special. However, nearly every National league ground is superior to ours and even some below that like Telford put us to shame. The total lack of progress just goes on and on and on compounded by having three marquees.

It is embarrassing isnt it? I used to think Oxfords old Manor Ground was a bit quirky with different sized stands but at least they were permanent structures, and that was demolished 20 years ago!

I think marquee is a bit of a grand name for the multi row deckchair known as the South West Stand, plonked on the terrace like it pretends it belongs there. Still makes me wince every time I think of it, which I try not to do very often.

What people need to realise is that we aren’t a big fish in league 2. There are plenty of better run clubs than Rovers with better grounds in league 2. Whilst other clubs are making progress, we are stuck in 1993. Who is going to be scouting and recruiting the players in the summer? If it’s the same person who thought Hanlan was an adequate replacement for JCH then our stay in league 2 will be a swift one, because we will soon be back in the conference. Sorry mate I disagree. We are stuck in 1986

The last thing we need to do if (when) we are relegated to League 2 is think ourselves as a big fish, that leads to complacency and a long time treading water or even avoiding dropping out again.
For me we need to take the same approach we took during our Conference season, recruit an experienced spine and add hungry players with a point to prove.
Promotion and relegation is a key component of football, we can't feel sorry for ourselves but take stock, accept things have to change and build for the new season. There are 3 automatic places to aim for and 4 play off spots so no reason we can't compete provided we do this properly.
The training ground will be an important part and I hope Wael does proceed with Phase 2 (presumably the all weather and additional grass pitches) in time for the new season. Phase 3 can wait if necessary.
The other thing I feel we need to address over the summer is the 'elephant in the room', the stadium. I really hope that if nothing is imminent then Wael bites the bullet and starts something at the Mem. There are various options but the most obvious and probably simplest, quickest and cheapest would be a new South stand. A permanent stand across the width and curved round incorporating the South West stand and even the away terrace (sight lines from the East stand accepted) would enclose the ground, make the aesthetics and acoustics better and reduce the wind coming across and making conditions worse.

Something has to be done with the stadium. At the moment ours looks like Wigans old Springfield Park and that was a shithole even in the 90s

There will be talk of a new stadium fifty years hence.
