Battling performance, all playing for the shirt. That's more like it.
Thought Harries was immense in defence and apart from his missed chance Hanlan was superb up front.

We’re back in it.
Lots of football to be played yet.
We had the calamity at the back today once but also scored two.
We just need to be +1 in terms of taking chances minus the calamity and we’ll be home and safe.

I was beginning to think that I didn't care so much anymore but today was quite emotional.
Fantastic Rovers, so well deserved.
I said we'd win today and we did, the icing on the cake was that none of the others in the drop zone picked up 3 points.
Bring on Northampton we can do this!

A decent performance by us once again let down by absolute dogshit defending. If we can just defend properly for the second half and keep creating chances like we have then there’s a chance that we could get 3 points from this. Thing it’s it’s a small chance because we just seem incapable of defending at crucial times. There was so much wrong on our behalf for their goal and it sums up why our results are sh**e despite often going toe to toe with the likes of Sunderland , Peterborough Ipswich etc. The keeper made a great save from Hanlan coukd have just as easily hit his body and gone in to the goal as it did fire back out but Hanlan did what you’ve got to do in those situations bring it down and hit it hard and on target. Well we defended well and didn’t make a stupid mistake in that second half and that’s the difference isn’t it ? It has been all season. Cut out the stupid mistakes until 6 pm on the last day of the season and we’ll do it , today showed that we ARE capable. As I’ve said on numerous posts we don’t need massive whole sale changes we just need some leaders to make sure the standards don’t slip before during and after our matches. We’ve got one in our manager and we today our whole team played like leaders apart from the first ten minutes where none of our defenders wanted to shout “ my ball” and take control. But they did defend brilliantly after that. UTG |

An enjoyable game. McCormick was the best player in the pitch by a mile. Westbrook played well apart from a couple of rubbish free kicks. I like the look of Martinez and Walker. The commentary team made a good point when they said Hanlon looked more like the decent player we saw earlier in the season. A lot of points still to play for.
