Yeah, a few of the mods decided to ban him today. Deservedly so, in my opinion. Christ why did I go and look. Two things for me. 1. Wow why is there so much animosity towards a forum and users thereof? 2. When a group of admins on a forum look at how you post and decide to sever ties, that is not cancel culture. That is them reviewing your conduct and rejecting you. Apart from the overt racist jaggass I can recall no other bannings from GC. |

The common theme has been that they get bent out of shape when asked for evidence to back up their claims. One got watery when challenged over the Guido blog as fact, many said you cannot plan for Brexit outcomes, others quoted loonies like Jordan Peterson as a solid basis for opinion. When challenged they stomp off, change their user name, with one notable exception, and call us vile. Speaks for itself really, the mod there, Epping, calling it an acho chamber. Let them wallow |

For the record it was me that put forward Oldgas for a ban. Gassy had nothing to do with it and in fact went out of his way to be neutral in mod discussions on how to proceed. I brought up the subject of Oldgas again based on response to a ridiculous number of reported posts that came following his previous ban. When one member generates so many reports, by admission deliberately winds up other posters, posts in a provocative way and refuse to accept why they were banned the first time then they are probably unwilling to moderate themselves. We do not have a cancel culture, but frankly if that's what posters want to think then so be it. |

I've no intention of joining the other forum but I do read it out of interest.
Reading some of the more recent stuff is mind boggling. Seems you can't support Wael or Barton (whereas on here you find it difficult to be critical) and one or two of the theories...well, are people really that cynical?

Seems you can't support Wael or Barton (whereas on here you find it difficult to be critical) and one or two of the theories...well, are people really that cynical? Crackpot corner 😂 That mob are basically anti who ever is running the club and they could all do so much better sniping from the sidelines.
