New series of “Can’t pay we’ll take it away” Hopefully half of this squad with any luck, maybe good for organ donation but not much else. Just 1/2? Apart from Jakkola, Nicholson, McCormick, Leahy and some home grown players like Kilgour and Walker, most if not all of the regular players this season? I like Ayunga but without any creativity from midfield, our goal scorers have to make their own chances, just like JCH did for a lot of his goals. Hanlan started well but ..... His dribbling down the line invariably ends in the ball being lost. Can't fault our strikers for effort though! As regards filming, probably teaching our players the basics of football: - passing 5 yards or more on the ground in front of a moving player - heading the ball straight - kicking down the line and not straight out - how to throw a ball - when receiving a throw in, you are NOT obliged to pass it back to the thrower. But if you do, try and give him a chance in controlling it. - how to control the ball when it comes to you on the ground, chest or head height - how to mark the front post - how to mark players when defending breakaways instead of running heater skelter for the goal line. How many times have you seen 7/8 players in 6 yard box and still conceding? - how to take set pieces; people laud Westbrook but one of the worst set piece takers I have ever seen for us; and we have been generally poor in years gone by - how to be calm in front of goal and hit the target - pass forwards not backwards when attacking - subbing to change the way a game is going at the right time and not leave it too late - not subbing for the sake of it or time wasting unless winning You could probably pick most of this up on any open space where a game of footie is being played? I think we must have some of the worst players in all 5 leagues for basic football skills on a consistent basis? Mistakes are made for various reasons; too slow to react to potential threats, not covering a lone wing defender when being attacked, not marking properly, panicking and just putting bodies in 6 yard box and leaving the rest of penalty box empty, 2 players going for the same ball, etc. The people behind the summer recruitment should not be allowed to make or influence any future signings? What a waste of money! If this had happened on the internet or in some other corporate business, a lot of people would probably be wondering if there was a scam going on somewhere? L2 here we come; Carlisle, Grimsby, Port Vale, Stevenage, Mansfield, Oldham, Sutton?, etc. And the match officials will be as bad, if not worse? Surely, they can't get any worse? At least the sun is shining, lockdown has eased and the barbers and pubs are open! PS Why do we always play teams who seem to be hitting form just before? Lincoln next!

This has happened on occasion for a number of years. Car park rented out although the actual filming could be anywhere in north Bristol. Has been mentioned before but I can't be bothered to find an old post and bump it to the top of gaschat. Sorry - couldn't resist 😉

Removal vans. Being loaded up with our league status and taking away to a lower rent destination. Or a lower tent destination.

By all accounts it’s a Cathy Barry production like she did before in St George. She’s trying to find out if any of them can give her 2 f##ks

They’re filming a remake of Water World in the Thatchers bogs. Should’ve gone to Ashton Gate, there’s plenty of mutants to play the main character!

As per my previous comment. The club rent out the car park for tv crews, the filming could be anywhere, not necessarily anything to do with the club. The Ridings in Chipping Sodbury did exactly the same when Horton Court - which is a few miles from the Ridings - was used for Poldark. I only know this as pre covid when the vans were in the car park I asked one of the crew and this was confirmed by the ladies in the club shop.
