Be hugely disappointed if we let our top scorer, Leahy go. Gives his all. If Hargreaves is out of contract then I really hope we keep him too. Should have seen far more of him than we did this year and he'll be even better in L2. Rodman good to have around too IMO. I’ve got to say I’m more worried that he will turn down a new contract and join someone else rather than us not handing him one. Barton made him captain and clearly rates him.

Sounds like Barton is very keen to keep him. The only one he has called out by name in todays press conference

If I were Leahy id try and cash in on his goalscoring figures this season and get a bigger contract elsewhere, especially as his goals have covered up his defensive frailties. At 28 he should be in his prime. I guess it all depends how much he likes it here, and under Barton.

If he's settled : offered a very good contract and likes his manager we have a slim chance .

The 11 players mentioned in the article are Bennett Davies Hare Kelly Koiki Little Leahy Ogogo Upson Van Stappershoef Martinez (club holds one-year option) Of those I would keep Leahy, Ogogo and Martinez Possibly Koiki as we haven’t seen enough of him to make a judgement Not sure how serious Koiki's injury was but see he had surgery on his knee so can't see more than a 6 month contract til he proves fitness given he did not exactly set the place alight in the few games he's played.

Martinez certainly worth keeping and we have a 1 year option anyway. As for the rest, I think there will be better available in the summer transfer market so I'd release all the other 9 to give the manager a bit of a budget to work with.

This will take the guesswork out So Koiki is under contract then?
Armstrong, Alexis and Tomlinson is on the list.
So it is not 11 players but 13 instead.
Tomlinson should be offered another year but don't think Armstrong and Alexis are ready to be no.2 keepers so might as well release both and sign a no.2 keeper who can step in when needed.

Footballer these days dont half hold a lot of power dont they?
The likes of Kyle Bennett can sit on a tidy wedge and do absolutely nothing to earn it, yet we 'have to' sell (for example) JCH as he would be unhappy and impact team moral (no sniggering). Same with Carayol.

That may have been the case 18 months ago but the power is now with the clubs I believe. There will be so many players out of work due to the Covid pandemic they may not have to be so choosy

I thought Tom Davies was a good player, certainly better than some of the others. Plus he has experienced of Div 2. Josh Hare, in my eyes hasn't done anything wrong, just not the right player for Garner and Co.

Hare's not been the same player since he came back from injury, although if our pre-season/fitness training generally is weak that perhaps explains things, hopefully Hare can get a contract with another L2 club if we do release him rather than drop back to the National League. As far as Davies, I've no idea whether his knee(s) will last a full season.
