It's never an easy game at the racecourse so a welcome point tonight. Definitely agree. I'm happy with the point and just 2 defeats in last 23 league games. Shame we took a little while to adjust after 2 defeats and a draw in our first 3 games

Also, I believe that was Taylors 5th booking so he cannot play on Saturday. Not true I believe. The cut off point for lower divisions is different - it is end of November, which is why him Monkey and Manse avoiding yellows in the last few games (when they were all on 4 yellows) has been brilliant.

Fair enough, all things considered. Mildenhall injured, Puddy injured step up to the plate young Preston if needed. what's the betting the same happens on saturday? no keeper on bench... injury / sending off

Just back an hour ago. Great team performance tonight, in the circumstances. Definitely a point gained, not two lost. MOTM has to be McCrystal, stepping into the breach between the sticks. Sinclair outstanding again, getting everywhere, and once more mainly to good effect. Wrexham certainly a physical team. A great stadium, nice to visit one of those for a change. And run / owned by a university! UTG

DC will be on the phone for a goalkeeper ASAP. Probably had Yatesy on the phone at half time I for one don't see why we don't have a keeper on the bench. That still leave four other players to choose from. Hindsight is a wonderful thing. You might need to sub a keeper maybe once a season? No one picked it up before game did they? It's not the first time we've not had a keeper on the bench this season I think. I'm sure I remember earlier in the season when the teams were announced it was taking a gamble. Poor Kieran Preston must have been watered off watching from the stands. I wonder if MM ever practices in goal during training? Has he played in goal before? The commentators seem to think so.

Was playing MM in goal always DC's back up plan or did he just get lucky MM was so impressive?

Was playing MM in goal always DC's back up plan or did he just get lucky MM was so impressive? Last Thursday night DC was asked about the lack of GK on the bench.
He said Mansell would fill the spot, if required.

I'm a very tired boy today. Got back to mine about 2.30 last night in the end.
Bit of a bizarre game really. We didn't really get started in the first half last night. Blissett and Taylor had to feed off of scraps, LDV barely got a touch before he had to go off. Brown wasn't his usual self in the first half. I can't really put my finger on why we were playing badly, partly because they started better, partly because we didn't switch on, partly because we weren't getting the ball down and playing.
I'm sure like all of you I feared the worst after LDV and Mildy went off. To be honest, I think i'd rather have lost and have them two fit for Saturday, that could really put a bit of a wrench in our season.
Would like to see the red again. Ref took an eternity to blow, so for a time I didn't even think it was going to be a free kick. Then out came the red card. It did look two footed, but Taylor does have a habit of making the most of things.
Second half and I really think both teams didn't quite know the answer to the age old question "What's better, 10 men or your center back in goal?". Wrexham started the better in the second half, but I have to say I found their manager's comments of "We took the game at them" when they didn't really have a shot in vain at our new #1. They even had a free kick in a decent position and I was thinking if that's a Rovers player I just want him to hit the target. High and wide.
We came back into it after that, but I don't think we ever wanted to overcommit because a counter attack could very much mean a goal. Wall hit the bar with a thunderous free kick and honestly looked more a danger than Big Bliss. We had a couple of chances but nothing overly serious bar Wall's thunderbolt.
Overall, bit of a weird game. Would have took a point at the start of it though so even against 10 men I think having your center back in goal away from home is a good result.
Seems we'll be getting a keeper in, I hope he can organise the defence although very harsh on McChrystal to be dropped after no goals conceeded for 50 mins. Just got to pray LDV isn't out for too long but I've got a feeling he'll be returning to Fulham and we may not see him again.

Surely MM would just return to the centre of defence as dropping him after 3 good games would be very harsh?

Agree about MM. I'm by no means his biggest fan but his last few games and the way he owned Akinde is slowly bringing me around.

We had a couple of chances but nothing overly serious bar Wall's thunderbolt. The best chance from what I could see on the highlights, fell once again to the free running Matt T Taylor.A simple header from Browns wonderful cross.

I'm not saying this just to make a excuse for him mate, as I know I've been defending him, but as I was actually there I'm 99.9% sure that Bachmaan got a touch on it before Taylor's header. You can't really tell on the video but I did have a very good angle on it as it was the goal we were near. I'll wait to see if anyone else there can clarify that.

Taylor got there before the Keeper by the looks of it,Thats another draw that would have been a win.How many times has the useless striker lost us 2 points in a match now?

Tbone, I'm going to stop debating you on this matter but I will tell you one thing for certain, the ball goes beyond the keeper after he gets a touch on it and then Taylor heads it. If you wish to call me a liar, that's a different story, but I was there, had a better angle than the camera and am telling you that as the truth. You may disagree with my point of view on Taylor, but don't doubt my word.
