Germany at 6 has to be worth a shot Honestly can't see past Argentina and Brazil...both should win their group and then both should progress through the knockout stages as other teams/squads tire in the heat and conditions. I might have an E/W flutter on Argentina, especially if they drift from 5/1 for some reason.

i put £15 on belgium well over a year ago at 33/1....
there now at 20/1 bear in mind their group is winnable, and they've got the better locations in the south, i still reckon its a decent bet....

I got the same price. Can't see them winning it realistically though. Out of the top 4 for me. Prob Brazil or Spain. Also think Fred or maybe even Muller could be a good each way shout for top scorer.

Interesting to look back and see what we were predicting a month ago.
Belgium still look a fair each-way shout, and whilst neither Argentina nor Brazil have hit top gear yet....well, they're still doing enough...
Current odds:
Brazil 3/1 (probably 5/1 if they weren't the hosts...)
Germany 4/1 (very un-German last night, and could hit a better-than-expected France in the Quarters)
Argentina 4/1 (surprised they've shortened and not drifted...)
France 9/1 (France-Germany 'could' be the pick of the Quarters)
Netherlands 10/1 (could have the easiest run of everyone to the semi-finals, might have an EW flutter...)

France is as good a price as you're gonna get. They looked spectacular against the cheese, bit leaky at tge back towards the end though. Its been a great world cup so far. Lots of quality, loads of goals and lots of contenders.

This world cup is much, much more wide open than I was expecting. I've just bet Colombia at 28/1, they are the value call now as far as I'm concerned, should get through to the quartets where Brazil/Chile will be waiting. Chile are the other dark horses by the way.
Gut is telling me that Argentina will win it.

Phil Neville just said he fancied USA ('heavily' I think) to beat Portugal....I'm lumping on Portugal...
