Congratulations to James Bracey on his selection for England test team, believe his family are staunch Rovers Fans? Following in the footsteps of the one and only Jack Russell, good luck James.

He is from Winterbourne, know his father, he fitted my boiler! (his dad). Strangely enough I went to school with one of Jack Russells sons, he must have lived in or around the area as well. Good luck James.

Being a Somerset fan I haven’t seen too much of JB, but from all accounts he’s been getting glowing reviews in County cricket recently. Well done James, phenomenal achievement.

I watched him in the Somerset v Gloucestershire match and he batted very well and was the difference between us winning and Gloucestershire winning unfortunately. Good temperament I think and an obstinate and solid batsman on that showing. I’m sure our Somerset lads will help him! UTG!

Well done James. As a former pupil of the Ridings High (it was Winterbourne Secondary when I went there) makes me proud. James has a very supportive family and all are lifelong gasheads. Get in there James, try and make the place in the team your own.

Off piste slightly , I wonder if jack Russell still has his art shop in chipping Sodbury .? Used to love watching him play for Gloz !

Yep ,Gallery still there i believe, although don't want to distract from James Bracey , Jack(MBE), one of my all time sporting heroes, an individual who never followed 'the crowd', awe inspiring behind the stumps, 'unorthodox and cussed as a batsman', great example for James to follow who technically is a much better bat's man.
