Imagine sitting behind your keyboard thinking you’re ever so clever and you’re socking it to all the happy clappers and nasty Mods on Gas chat . Congratulating yourself how on how well you’re doing .
Meanwhile….. everyone else thinks you’re a d…. 😃

harrystokes, respectfully: Ive asked you to explain how we’d be in a “better, more financially secure place....” without WAQ and by my reckoning so has bidefordgas Stuart1974 Tilly’s Thighs bluegas. (Apologies if I’ve missed anyone) So far you’ve not answered it, which is, of course, your right not to do so. But without an answer or an explanation as to how we’d be “better off” you are either a WUM, someone who is s*** stirring, someone with an anti-WAQ agenda or someone with a few spare hours who decided to sow a few seeds of dissension amongst gasheads, or someone who was looking for an argument and trying to get some on here banned or even get yourself banned so you could wear it as a badge of honour. Jeez! Ill let you decide. UTG! Wael and his family have racked up over £20 million worth of debt since they have arrived. My claim is as thus, should another investor have taken over from Higgs, they would have had the financial prudence not to have spent beyond their means. That’s more of an opinion than a claim to be honest, as we won’t ever know for sure. Would we have been worse off on the field? Well its hard to see how we’d be any worse off than plying our trade in League Two. Never tried to get anyone banned, or wanted to get banned myself. Do wish some could have better manners and be more respectful to others opinions. It’s ironic actually that people keep pointing me in the direction of the other forum because that just proves Gasheads hold views similar to mine and if they do they have a right to be heard on this platform. It’s regrettable that people think I’m trying to sow the seed of dissent, I said from my first post that I was explicitly stating my personal concerns and not trying to persuade anyone else to change theirs. To everyone who has reacted to my posts in a calm and civilised fashion, thank you!

It would be such an easier life to navigate through if people treated others with respect and decency. It’s funny because in my discussions in the clubhouse on Saturday’s many partially or wholly share my views, perhaps this place is not representative of the fan base and with some posters hostile reaction to my concerns and opinions, it’s not too hard to see why.

In your original thread you stated "those are the facts my dear friend" and "reasoned logical arguments". You also outright lied when you claimed a Mod had made a nasty threat. You also havent appeared to be open to any kind of discourse other than pushing your own agenda so far. It's good to see you acknowledge that what you have are now opinions and concerns. I'm sure that is a much better place to start sensible dialogue.

I came to impart a few hard truths, and I think I got them across judging by the reaction. Opinions and truths are very different things. Come back with proof, then we can talk. Why, it’s an Internet forum full of opinions? I’ve heard many ‘opinions’ about the financial security of the club under Wael. So why shouldn’t I be able to express mine, without the spurious demand of proof which no-one will ever be able to definitively demand when discussing such topics?

What you cant do is claim they are facts. Its really easy. The burden of proof lies with the person making the claim. So, you can be concerned that WAQ may one day run out of money, but it's not a fact that he will because you cant prove it. The same goes for your assertion that WAQ won't accept any outside investment. Again, this is a claim that needs proof. I may actually share some of your concerns and others I dont, but I am not claiming that WAQ has done ABC or that he wont do XYZ because I dont know.

Ohhhh Harry is a w**ker, he wears a wankers hat, he mocks our great leader, do one - you f**king twat, gets disses from the left side and called dick from the right. But after all his suggestions won't come to f**king sh**e!!! Ohhhh... Sorry Harry, free for all innit? Lol Easy to hide behind a keyboard and spew puerile childish nonsense isn’t it? Well you can have your little song, but I’m going to keep expressing my opinion. It’s my prerogative to do so. I'd happily sing it to you, not a problem. I would hope my smiling and tone would show it was just a joke. But as you say you have a right to have an opinion and you also have the right to be offended. So I would like to take this time to apologise.. to absolutely fooking nobody! 😎

To everyone who has reacted to my posts in a calm and civilised fashion, thank you! You could also argue that a different owner may not have sacked DC or brought in a poor manager and Rovers had been relegated back then. The following year being a catastrophy with low investment in the team to balance the books. The ensuing season saw a 2nd relegation. The new owners put the club in adminustration . The inland revenue took the club to court and a winding up order issued. Last year BRFC stopped existing. A new club BRFC2021 was formed in tier 9 of the football ladder by fans and small business owners. You could equally argue this coming season Rovers fans were eagerly awaiting the fixture list to see who their first premier league opponents would be. As for Mr Higgs and the wonga loan. I suspect the s#*t had hit the fan ,hence why he sold the club to who he thought was the best option to keep the club alive.

We'd be gone if it wasn't for him. Untrue. We’d be in a better, more financially secure place. Perhaps even with more Stadium project progress. Harrystokegas, you have taken some stick and some maybe a little OTT, but you are not helping yourself here. I know people are entitled to their opinions but Hijacking each thread with comments like the above is going to cause friction. There is enough on another thread without bringing it into a thread about Waels letter to the fans. I respectfully responded and was open to discuss your concerns on a previous thread where my last message wasn’t answered, probably missed due to the amount of replies you were getting. It was a simple question, would you be happy if Wael walked away tomorrow? And what do you think would happen to the club if he did?

I may actually share some of your concerns and others I dont, but I am not claiming that WAQ has done ABC or that he wont do XYZ because I dont know. Look at the Wael thread, what did I end the title with? A question mark. To state that I wanted a debate and wasn’t even 100% sure myself. I’ve even looked and I didn’t use the word fact in the OP once. So this is all about me replying to one poster those are the facts? Yeah right. This is because I have an unpopular but perfectly legitimate opinion and people want to try just about anything to discredit it. Those are the facts. ie those are the facts of my argument. If you want proof, it really depends on what claim I choose to make. For example, when I talk about the amount of debt racked up by Wael over the years, look at the yearly statements. For lack of stadium progress, well that should be obvious. A concern is a concern, harder to prove but just a hunch. I use all these claims that I can prove, like the ones just listed and it builds up into the hunch that I nor anyone cannot. But that’s not just for my concerns, anti-Barton supporters have hunches and reservations about Barton’s leadership that they can’t prove or disprove. Pro-Wael supporters that are so adamant that our future is safe under Wael, cannot 100% prove that, so like my they string together a number of provable arguments that act as precedent. I’ve stated my concerns and fleshed out my argument already, whether people choose to believe it is up to them but this give me definitive proof thing is nonsense, because I challenge anyone to give definitive proof over concerns they hold, about Rovers or just anything in general.

It was a simple question, would you be happy if Wael walked away tomorrow? And what do you think would happen to the club if he did? I apologise that I did not respond to your post on the other thread, as you say I’ve had numerous replies and a busy man as I am, I’ve struggled to reply to them all. I think it’s rather unfair to demand that I keep my views just to one thread. Yes, I won’t state them on every thread, but when another thread of a similar topic comes along why can’t I share them on there? What other poster on this forum is asked to keep his views on just one thread? When that thread dies and I’m sure it will soon. I would have nowhere to post following those rules. To answer your question, yes I would be happy. I think the club needs a fresh start on the ownership front and have argued this prior. I think we would manage to secure owners that could run the club on a more sustainable footing, make more progress on the stadium front than the snails pace that Wael has operated at and who wouldn’t be swayed as easily by strong opinions in the boardroom.

This seems oddly similar views to SwissGas and Knowall's/Fanantical's if you're not one of them then you're equally as deluded as they are if you think there's a long line of potential investors who are prepared to: 1) to buy out Wael 2) have sufficient financial backing to fund our ongoing losses 3) can make us more sustainable whilst remaining a league side/attempting to gain promotion back to L1 4) can progress on the stadium front faster than Wael.
Perhaps you could name 1 or 2 potential investors to give more credence to your views, otherwise your argument is both meaningless and pointless.
