Jesus, I bet some of you are fun at parties 😂 Parties? What parties? Unforunately all the anti vaxxers are ensuring there is nothing to party about. Can't beat a good conspiracy though to spice things up. Conspiracy to spice things up vs saving lives?) = no brainer. If you’ve had all your jabs but refuse this vaccine does that make you a anti vaxxer?

Most people are given vaccines when they are children an unable to give informed consent. They can then become and anti vaxxer as an adult. Personally, I wouldn't give them the time of day, and definitely would want to spend my free time with them.

I know many people who aren’t anti vax but are sceptical of the COVID one. Myself I’ve had many and gave my kid his but I’m all for choice.

This thread is an utter sh** show. That wasn't my intention when I started it - just wanted to inform people of what is likely to be required when we are allowed back at The Mem. I can understand both points of view. I've been wary of jabs since my Dad had a very bad reaction to the pneumonia vaccine, and was dead within a fortnight. I never had a jab after that, but, after weighing it up, I have been double jabbed for Covid.

Oh wow. You DID start mouthing off at me! Charming. So.. I am misguided? As per my fact, I am guided by my circumstances. If that makes me "lucky" then I'll take that for now until my circumstances change. Then, like all of us I am free to alter my stance. Basic knowledge + basic science? You do realise that stats and findings are susceptible to change right? Over time and with different methods and procedures, we reveal different results. Even during this pandemic some of the basic knowledge has changed since different experts have their own views. "Masks do work v masks don't work", "kids are safe from vax v kids aren't safe from vax" etc. Intellectually capable? We disagree on something so you resort to that. Good for you. Spreading misinformation? You quote 128k who have died. Well according to the small print and countless reports which we have all seen and experienced..thats 'with covid' and within 28 days of a positive test'. So perhaps you should take some of your own strong worded advice on that point ok. There is a piece buried on the net from a few weeks ago regarding a petition in Lisbon which forced the authorities to restock the figures. 17k deaths turned into 152 over the argued period which might affect our daily news somewhat..https://www.expatica.com/pt/news/lisbon-court-rules-only-0-9-of-verified-cases-actually-died-of-covid-100196/ So you've also used a little picture to suggest my perspective might be wrong? Talking intellectual capabilities, I'm assuming you understand the issue with that argument! In closing. Try to make your point without being rude. I can see you are excited by this topic but if you go outside and speak to people, you might realise that there are a growing number with an opinion opposite to yours. That should be fine though, since we live in a country which allows that. This is akin to the vax being a choice. Let people choose. I won't respond publicly but happy to DM if you need to mate. Cheers. Si. I assume you realised that link takes you to a dead link which apparently confirmed those figures? Further digging suggests the whole story is fake, as the 152 deaths mentioned are those confirmed by autopsies, which, like in the UK, are not normally carried out when it's assumed the death was due to COVID etc. fullfact.org/online/lisbon-portugal-covid-deaths/Thanks Topper. Removing that still leaves the issue that the small print reads 'within 28 days' and countless claims of covid being the cause when family etc know that wasn't the case.

You really need to lower your tone , you don’t have an actual clue why individuals don’t want to take the vaccine or the reasons behind it , I’ve been reading through the posts and the levels of disrespect being banded around is ridiculous, would you actually be this brave in person , I’m not trying to be threatening here as I couldn’t knock the skin off a rice pudding but I think if you were actually brave enough to be this straight talking in person , you’d end up getting your nose put to the back of your head , just wind it in a little. I know it’s a sensitive issue band I’ve come across as a bit of a cock on here at times regarding this subject but your posts in particular are really starting to grate, just be nice as you don’t know people’s circumstances.

What I do know and see is the knock on effect their decision has. If you get behind a wheel after drinking, you don't mean to cause any harm but you suffer the consequence of your actions! This is similar. And what is worse is that some are encouraging the idea that drink driving (the vaccine) is a good idea!

Just because they dispute it doesn't mean they are right though? The charts produced in the past suggests COVID led to a spike in the number of recorded deaths, that's something which can't be disputed.

The Telegraph published an article today raising similar issues to those previously raised by Pirate, it hidden behind a pay wall so I can only attach a screenshot of the article.
It's interesting that the opposition party are calling for even harsher controls, not challenging the need for COVID Passports etc!

Somehow all the other illnesses decided to kill people during the last 18 months. Not before or after. The notion of excess deaths is difficult to ignore. On the other hand, I lost someone too to covid. She survived the initial infection, lungs never fully recovered, died with pneumonia after a couple months. No covid on her certificate but never had a chest infection develop in to a pneumonia before. Excess deaths is difficult to argue against.
