Where's Eric Godfrey when you need him ? Those longstanding fans will know of the war In early 1960s with Brfc and Brsc the true blue club and Eastville club were the result. Discord and in the end the supporters club won ...they paid for the floodlights at Eastville and major ground improvements. Then Brfc started dictating what they can and could not do...history repeating itself...this means war I am afraid. It will get nasty no prisoners taken last time. Unless the forums don't reflect the fans views then JC seems to have little, if any, support from regular fans, he ain't going to win any war just because the SC won one in the 60's.

I think Herbert/Harry/Mike overestimates the value of the SC to the FC these days. There was a time at the turn of the millennium when the SC ran the club shop, the ticketing operation and even handled all credit card transactions because the football clubs credit rating prevented them from having a card terminal. At that time they were indispensable, not any more and the removal of the 50/50 tickets and programmes sales ends their value to the owners completely. When Jim hands over the deposit account it will be game over.

So a co-ordinated 2 pronged attack on the Rovers hierarchy it seems. Can’t wait for the 3rd tomorrow.

Whatever happens, I just hope the gas girls don't get affected because they have done so well and have been funded by the SC. Taking my kids to watch them has been the only good thing Rovers wise for me since the gas girls started. I thought they were funded by the Community Trust? What I meant by "funded by the SC" was the donations they give to them. The SC are shirt sponsors for them too and the Gas Girls regularly thank the SC on twitter for the support they give.
Again, whatever happens going forward, I hope it doesn't affect them.

I feel sorry for the volunteers who have been caught up in this fallout, I hope that Tom comes up with a way to work with them at the meeting tomorrow.

Everything about the club is unfortunately, with the possible exception of The Community Trust . Crap ground, crap communication and school playground fighting. Nailed it. Think Bath City, Frome Town and Weldon Rovers may be calling for this season sadly.

I don’t know about th rest of yous but for me . . . . . . . . . . I don’t know who ta believe or what’s true anymore. I literally have no clue about anything or even an opinion. I’m just numb. 🙁 I share your numbness budy.... Were more divided than ever. I disagree with people on here who I've always agreed with, but then I agree with them about something else. You see good posters having arguments with each other, and it's a complete mess.... I doubt you disagree with anything I say . 😉

He oversaw that debacle and was never personally brought to account. I lost all respect for him at that point.

I did think that money was recovered so it seems strange that only £50k is left from 199.

SC Committee members who sell 50/50 & progs match days have been told they cannot attend the meeting, even though some wanted to go.

Sad state of affairs we should all be pulling in the same direction, a club is nothing without its supporters. So many divisive cliques with the football club. Supporters Club and Presidents Club at odds with the club. Fans split on managerial appointment. Shocking first two home attendances and booed off already. Usually need everyone united and pulling in the same direction to be successful and we certainly don't have any of that.

I’m sorry, I know a lot of people haven’t got time for the supporters club, but the whole situation appears petty from both sides and doesn’t reflect well on our club. We seem to lurch from one calamity to the next. Irrespective of what has happened it is time for both sides to sit down and sort this out.

The 1960s dispute between Brsc and club resulted in Brsc chairman being elected to Rovers board as fans representative Eric Godfrey. I know that era was yonks ago but the club realised they needed the fans onboard.
Fundraising then paid for lots of ground improvements medical equipment etc raised by fans for the club they loved. Appreciated times are a changing but cashless stadium season ticket fiasco, Presidents club and now this has underlined the fans have not been probably considered in my view. Even going back to sacking Keith Brookman as programme editor resulting in his resignation and losing a genuine fan working for the club. Sad to see the way Screen Soccer Andy Warren and Dave Rogers were told not to video anymore matches after decades of providing a service for the fans.

The SC and Presidents Club are not the only ones being "given" the elbow. Some individuals aswell. Guess it all might(well most of it)come out one day. All I know is, it is very, very sad and sadly some of it must come from the club itself. whatever you think.

SC Committee members who sell 50/50 & progs match days have been told they cannot attend the meeting, even though some wanted to go. That contradicts Jims statement? "Our offer was made to the Commercial Director of the Football Club who, at the time of writing, has not responded, though he is attempting to contact all of our volunteer matchday staff to hold a meeting with them tomorrow afternoon."

EXCEPT those on the committee who sell. And I am still waiting a reply from to my e-mail to Tom asking to attend(as I help out when they are short)
