End of Jan, another transfer window for some comings and goings and also gets rid of the "need time to gel" argument.
I'm really spilt on this dependant on my current mood. Whilst the table doesn't lie and you are where you deserve to be, on paper our squad looks good (although another out and out forward would be good) and I think our luck has to change soon.
I think we could be improving soon (well let's bloody hope so)

The fact this question is being asked in August tells us everything we need to know about this fraudulent "great reset" and his cancer surgery.

Pretty confident we will be in playoff places or just outside.

The way we’re playing , I see nothing other than a relegation zone finish. We barely beat an awful Oldham side and can’t even beat a relatively poor Barrow side with a man advantage , still have the same issues from Last season where we don’t score or create enough goals and still crap in defence, the only thing that’s changed is the new excuses for us not playing well , it’s gone from JB saying , “it’s not my team” or “are these players living their lives right” to now him saying “take time to gel” “injuries during preseason so their not fully fit” and the new favourite excuse used by not only JB but every profession “Covid”. I hope if we win promotion ( ha ha ) someone digs up this post and rightfully says that I jumped the gun a bit , but I think we’re truly poor and getting worse. I wouldn’t be at all surprised if we found ourselves back in non league next season.

So of the teams we’ve faced we’ve played a poor barrow side and an Oldham side that looks nailed on for relegation? Seems to me there are enough basket case sides amongst those we’ve already faced that we don’t need to panic over relegation. That’s not to say we won’t be fighting it, though.

I think we’ve got enough quality to keep out of the bottom 2, although our start to the season suggests we’ll struggle to put together any sort of good run of form.

I know I’m still probably overreacting from the last couple of results , I think I’m just so annoyed that I fell ( yet again ) into the trap of believing that we would actually start a season well and really push on. You’re probably right , I just can’t bare the thought of all the hard work from previous regimes ( mainly DC and the back to back promotion squad ) being undone and is languishing in non league again , but because of where we are currently it’s making me slightly jumpy about the possibility.

Pretty confident we will be in playoff places or just outside. You sure you won't just be calling the squad "a bunch of losers" again? Give it a break man. Last season we had players who couldn’t create chances, kept making mistakes and gave many of us little confidence that we could win matches. Players that lose matches under 3 managers need to go. Very few are disputing the need to move on last seasons losers. Early signs suggest we are in better shape. I’m more upbeat than you. I know that when players lose matches, consistently, you need to change things. Look on the bright side fella. You will, my friend, be happier for it.

If we had won yesterday we would have been happier on here. Too much emotion instead of calm reflection. Onwards and upwards.

I just don't look on the bright side then claim the problem was with the players being a bunch of losers ... like you do.

I don't not look on the bright side. I just don't look on the bright side then claim the problem was with the players being a bunch of losers ... like you do. OK fair enough. I think you can do both. I do. You can’t just be positive in the eye of a storm when sun standard players consistently lose matches with little belief that things are changing. I just think things are getting better. We lost loads of matches and now we have changed things. Move on now. Nothing to see here.

"We lost loads of matches and now we have changed things" Really??? We lost matches. We changed the players. We are on a strategic journey of change. We are creating chances and making less errors. Calm my friends. There is light. Let’s see where we are at end of November.

I agree i could have used a better phase to describe players that lose matches. I’ll work on being better.

Calm my friends. There is light. Let’s see where we are at end of November. One win in five....including farcical error strewn defensive play at Exeter. I see zero sign of progress
