I read it that way as well. Shame really, but this has been brewing for years, way before the current owners. There were members of the SC who were unhappy at the unwillingness of the SC Committee to accept new ideas and approach to their interaction with the main board of BRFC, dating back to the early 2000s. A great pity. However we now have a guy on the board whose main remit (I think) is to manage the relationship with supporters. Don't we? He's not started off to well so far at building bridges? Gibson? Largely invisible is he not? Apart from the letter JC refers to, I am only aware of a meeting he held with Presidents Club and Tom Gorringe.

Well one thing JC has said that is correct is his comments regarding the Directors apart from TG, what have the Leeches done for the club in the past few years, like GCSE grades perhaps they think going from 1 to 2 is and improvement. They need to P?!s off out of our club, before anymore damage is done.

This comment from Jim Chappell is very sad to read. It is so disappointing to read that long term stalwarts such as Sue Williams, Phil Draper and Jim are stepping back from active support of our club.
Whatever has transpired to lead to this fracture in the relationship between BRSC and BRFC is not welcome.
It is deeply concerning to contemplate the next steps for all involved. We live in hope.

Cheerio JC you belligerent to$$er. The dummy has been well & truly spat for the final time. Now we can only hope the Supporters Club lower the drawbridge & offer a chance for some new (and younger) blood to step forward into the ‘secret society’ and try their hand at leading the SC forward. Come on Hudson do your best and join SC and take them forward ...oh l forgot you don't have the balls ...talk is cheap Unfortunately I’m no whippersnapper and way past what the SC require in a position of leadership, if only Jim had realised this himself long ago. We may have been spared the various bouts of dummy spitting & temper tantrums dressed up as supporters club ‘statements’. We all look forward to your hat and gigantic testicles being placed forward as a suitable candidate.

Bless him, I even get a mention...I'd like to say I was touched. It's a shame he couldnt be truthful, even in defeat. Defeat? Is it your victory then? If not who’s victory is it? Wael Al Qadi’s? Well I can’t see anything to celebrate, only losers everywhere especially the football club itself which is now being run by a dictator who has rid himself of everyone who ever challenged his will. Whether that be his own family, his own employees or long standing supporters who have dedicated their life to Bristol Rovers for absolutely no personal gain. You can dance on the grave of the SC today and you can dance on the grave of the FC tomorrow. Whilst we have a fan base that is more interested in fighting amongst itself, celebrating ‘defeat’ of fellow fans rather than looking in the direction of an owner that has massively increased the debt whilst overseeing an appalling degeneration of playing standards and also blowing the only real chance we have had of a fantastic new stadium, the club is on a one way ticket to oblivion. Let’s see who celebrates yours or Wael’s little victory today when the chickens come home to roost, and sadly they will come home to roost. Wael’s ownership of Bristol Rovers will not, when history eventually judges, be seen as anything other than a disaster for this FC. I hope it’s not fatal.

It’s a defeat for the SC in that their polarisation of Wael has been brought to nothing. It’s nothing to do with me, I just want to support BRFC. I may not agree with everything that’s done, said or suggested and I’ve been vocal to say my bit against the club when I believe it to be wrong. But to have a “supporters club” work against the constitution to support the football club just isn’t worth having.

I think Wael has a steely determination to get the outcome he desires. He comes across as a Very Nice Man but is a bit of a wolf in sheep's clothing. As the SC, DC, GC, BG, PT and maybe soon JB have found out.
Has he got something against initials that end in 'ee'? This could be the answer.
