Obvious troll is obvious. If I was a troll how would I be able to remember the tigerish tackling of Steve Cross, the unmet potential of Steve Parmenter and wand of a left foot of Paul Hardyman! I am more of a rovers fan than anyone on here and my knowledge is far superior. To call me a troll is insulting, crass and simply untrue!! Ive witnessed Pounder, Sterling, Skinner and Miller at their best........wonder how many on here can say the same!!! I can. Also, not all Trolls are non Rovers. If you think citing Rocky movies makes your crazy suggestions for managers makes you more credible you are having a laugh. Oh, and Skinner? Really?

Well if you are to be taken seriously. Ossie hasn't managed since 2012 and not in England since 1994. To be fair his management in the Football League was at a higher level than Rovers, but he's no longer a credible candidate.
Your Conte suggestion might be viable on Football Manager, but not in the real world.
Your views just strike me as being so negative and mean spirited. How can you write Ossie off just like that?? Just look at the 6th installment of the Rocky films! Look what Rocky managed to achieve in the 2006 last rocky film entitled "Rocky Balboa" Everyone wrote him off because of his age thinking he was nothing but an old has been.........even his own son.......and look what Rocky still managed to achieve taking the current world champion to his absolute limits!!! I personally think you would be a fool to rule out Ossie and doubt the mans capabilities after all he has done in the game!! It ain't over till its over!!! Attachment Deleted

He will probably try and play it up by saying his hips and knees are as good as new, while leaving out the bit where they have all been replaced To be honest a midfield 3 of Coutts, Whelan and Ardiles makes my mouth water! What an incredible prospect! The worrying thing is that 69 year old Ossie would probably be the best player!

With Joey looking like he is getting no where he got me thinking who could get a tune out of these players and I think we could do a lot worse than to contact Ossie Ardiles to see if he would be interested. Surely with Swindon, Spurs and Newcastle on his CV he would gain the respect of the players immediately and with his quirky personality and tactical nous he could have the likes of Whelan, Coutts and Hughes performing with a little Argentinian flair in no time. We would be crazy not to consider him should Joey depart. Failing that how about a phone call to Antonio Conte?? He hasn't got a club at the moment and although he didn't achieve much at Chelsea and Inter Milan some managers just fit/suit and click at certain clubs and call me overly optimistic but I feel that Antonio Conte and Bristol Rovers could be a perfect match! In fact with Wael's Chelsea connections who is to say that discussions haven't already taken place behind closed doors to lure Conte to the mem with John Terry as his assistant. My personal preference would be Ossie but Conte would be an acceptable second choice! UTG!!! Conte won the league with Chelsea, FA Cup runners up same season and more to the point took a major scalp in the League Cup 2nd Round

Belshaw 30 Hughes 34 Brown 32 Coutts 33 Whelan 38 Finlay 29 Rodman 35 Pitman 33 Clarke 36 Collins 25 Saunders 24
Being able to name a team this youthful, talented and energetic how in the hell are we not top of the league and undefeated!?!?
There is only one man to call now
OSSIE OSSIE OSSIE OSSIE
I reckon if we get just slightly more experience....maybe a 42 year old Kevin Ellison from Newport for Collins up top then we are basically a premier league outfit!!

We need a tough manager who knows the lower leagues And who is going to put players in their correct positions , stop changing the team every week and take it back to basics. Like Coughlan did after DC left. I dunno who that is but Ossie Ardiles doesn’t strike me as that man and seems a bizarre suggestion to me.

Ardiles spotted checking in to a premier inn on edge of Walsall. It could be happening!

Certainly not Graham Westley as you’ve suggested! 👎👎👎 I’m afraid after that suggestion your credibility was almost destroyed. 😉 But everyone’s entitled to a view, I think. UTG!

Well what about Jan Molby? Not done much recently admittedly but had one hell of a record at Swansea and really thrives on getting the ball down and playing attractive football!

Keep trying Vinney, so far you've suggested Westley who was last seen taking Newport on a course for certain relegation to the Conference, Ardiles and Molby who have not managed in this country for 27 and 17 years respectively, and Conte who was last seen winning Serie A with Inter. One day you might suggest someone even remotely suitable! Edit: I've now seen you've also suggested Joe Kinnear. Have you woken up this year from an extended period of hypersleep? If so, just to catch you up, the year is 2021, the world in general and in football has moved on quite a lot since those heady days of the late 90's and early 00's. Don't worry, I would say we've come a long way since then, but sadly we haven't! Maybe we could bring back Ian Atkins for old time's sake?

And Atkins signed some great players so I feel uncomfortable you tarnishing his name.

I presumed that you are on a windup, and in all honesty I still have a suspicion that you are. If not, then I apologise for hurting your feelings. However in my humble and honest opinion, your suggestions of candidates are not credible. If you disagree with me, fine.
