Was suggested by the previous "incompetent" regime first.......
Sounds like we are going through the railways book of excuses, wrong leaves on the line!

There is a continuation of injuries among the players during the past two or three seasons. It is bad enough losing players with competitive matches without the alarming training injuries. How are the new pitches contributing to such injuries? I totally give up! There appears to be problem after problem among players and management. This is soul-destroying for us fans. Always hope some rich Businessmen will help sort the club out. The other side of Bristol must be laughing their heads off!!

Pretty sure the other side of Bristol had a huuuuuuuuge injury list last year too and sacked some of their medical and sports science staff. Maybe there is something in the water in Bristol?

The way things have panned out, it seems that a lot of competent people in the medical and sports science departments lost their jobs over the summer for the sake of yet more change, rather than any good reason.

Well at least it’s the pitches. I was thinking it may have been poor management, coaching, transfer policy etc. At least we know why we’ve been so poor now. I feel relieved, let’s sort the pitches and look forward to impending promotion 👊

I suspect Joey genuinely thinks he knows better than them in their chosen field. Same reason he thinks he's intellectual. Same reason he thinks he only gets in trouble because his sense of right and wrong is highly developed.

A few lines into the article it says “Joey Barton, insists the groundstaff are at no fault, hailing the immaculate pitches, but Rovers are eager to instruct further examination of the surfaces and the strain they may be causing.“
😂
Never, ever pays to read a complete article before jumping to conclusions.

The Quarters pitch being a replica of the Mem pitch is an absolute delight for opposition to play decent football on whereas we cannot string 2 passes together and feel more comfortable giving the ball away to the opposition. It's DC's fault for complaining about the state of the surface - bring back the mud and bumps and promotion will be a certainty.

Oh how I miss the days when after heavy rain and a rugby match , The ball used to get stuck on the goal line in a muddy puddle in front of the south stand 😂😂🤣🤣
