The Quarters pitch being a replica of the Mem pitch is an absolute delight for opposition to play decent football on whereas we cannot string 2 passes together and feel more comfortable giving the ball away to the opposition. It's DC's fault for complaining about the state of the surface - bring back the mud and bumps and promotion will be a certainty. Oh how I miss the days when after heavy rain and a rugby match , The ball used to get stuck on the goal line in a muddy puddle in front of the south stand 😂😂🤣🤣 Reminded me of that time with Peter Beadle already on the floor and does like a sea lion header from one inch on the goal line, covered in mud lol

If you ask me, the stripes look like they have been rollered the wrong way!

For those that recall, there was a lot of criticism relating to injuries when Phil Kite was physio (unjustly IMO) and I can think of at least 2 or 3 occasions when training pitch condition has been blamed for injuries over the years.
The Quarters pitches were produced by the experts and as we've been told, the level was built up as rock was found too near the original surface. I can only wonder if the made up ground has settled and compacted, creating a harder surface than expected.
More likely, it is just chance + an ageing playing staff.

My advice is review the training boots players are wearing before spending a small fortune on yet more consultants to review pitch firmness. Being serious there are lots of articles on the relationship between poor ankle support given by some boots and Achilles problems.

Yeah, could be anything, istr Ryan Giggs had a recurring hamstring issue coz of a stiff clutch (not a euphemism).

The players' boots look more like slippers these days, probably the reason for so many foot injuries. Perhaps this is why the shots on goal are rather soft. God help the players when headless football is brought in.

Very good point, think todays boots are more about fashion statements than suitability for the job in hand! now i am not advocating going back to the days when you could feel the stud nails sticking into your feet! but some of todays boots look more like slippers than football boots!
