The FIFA 22 ratings database has been confirmed with Bristol Rovers players scoring highly among their League Two peers
Bristol Rovers' relegation into League Two has inevitably seen the Gas take a hit in terms of individual ratings in FIFA 22, but the club still boast two of the highest-ranked players in the division.
Anssi Jaakkola has retained his position as the club's highest rated player on the latest edition of the game, which is released on October 1, but the Finland international goalkeeper's overall score has dropped from 67 to 66.
Likewise Sam Nicholson, who was ranked alongside the Rovers No1 in FIFA 21, has now fallen from 67 to 65 following the Gas' demotion and his own struggles with injury, albeit with the Scot remaining arguably Rovers' best individual player.
Nicholson's place at the top of the club rankings alongside Jaakkola has been taken by loanee Luke Thomas who is yet to have made the desired impact in north Bristol but remains a Championship-level player.
Jaakkola and Thomas are also among an exclusive club in League Two with only nine players in the division at 66 and Swindon's Jonny Williams the only individual beyond that (68).
Elsewhere in the squad, summer signings Mark Hughes, Paul Coutts and Harry Anderson are all rated at 65 and Rovers possess five players with that number, as opposed to four in 2020 (Alfie Kilgour, Mark Little, Jack Baldwin and Max Ehmer).
Due to the huge turnover in players over the last 12 months, it's difficult to reference last year's edition but Cian Harries has enjoyed a small upgrade from 61 to 62, as has Alex Rodman from 63 to 64 and Cam Hargreaves 54 to 56.
Curiously, the database published so far doesn't contain some of the Gas' summer arrivals with Connor Taylor, Leon Clarke and Junior Brown all absent.
