Anyones guess on the line up as we have players away on loan and some that have probably come back in but you gotta be thinking its going to be a lot of the younger lot with some of our experienced heads getting some time off for good behaviour.
Thinking something like 4-3-3:
Ward - GK Hoole - RB Kilgour - CB Harries - CB Clarke - LB Martinez - DM Hargreaves - CM Westbrooke - CM Jones - LW Collins - CF Walker - RW
Plenty of legs up top and a blend of youth and more experience - probs get it totally wrong but had a go lol

Forgot about this cup , thought we got knocked out ?! It's a group stage in the first round now. It's a great way of getting more games for the U21 teams, and in no way inconveniences the lower league teams that already have more matches in their calendar than the fixture-laden PL clubs, with much smaller squads.

Thanks god it’s such a money maker then for these lower league clubs and the clubs fans love it .

Team v Chelsea last time out:
Ward
Martinez Lovelock Harries Clarke
Hargreaves Mehew Westbrooke
Thomas (Langlais 74) Walker Nicholson (Phillips 62)
Bench: Lawrence, Vilinauskas, Brain, Vaughan, Mbuenimo
Can't see the likes of Harries, Thomas and Nicholson being involved in tonight's game.

Be great to see us put 2 young strikers up top
We are only really missing in this area so if we could find someone from within to carry the can it would really help up to January
And who knows the next Rovers legendary striker might already be on the books
We are due one…..

Boycott this competition! ....and if your papa is called John, boycott him too. Love this completion getting to Wembley stadium in 1990 for first time ever in club's history and the trip to Millennium stadium Cardiff on 2007 were memorable occasions. Priceless memories.. Walking down Wembley way and the train journey to Cardiff with thousands of gasheads love a repeat to take my grandsons. I did the last trip to Exeter City in this trophy a 2 0 defeat disrespected by DC who put out too many youngsters. Not traveling this time due to illness but will listen on BBC radio Bristol later.

In the Northern section none of the 8 Academy teams have qualified and in the Southern there will only be 3 or 4 qualifying for the knockout phase. As long as there is no long term plan to allow these teams to sneak into the League Pyramid it is fine by me.

Those plans have so far been resisted, but this trophy keeps the foot in the door and their dream alive.

Those plans have so far been resisted, but this trophy keeps the foot in the door and their dream alive. Exactly. The plan passively continues by "normalising" the competitive interaction between Category A youth teams and the lower league teams. The opposition to this has actually been slowing diminishing already, and will continue to diminish, thereby allowing greater leverage to bring back the "B teams in the league" idea. It will rear its ugly head again, it's just a question of when. And when it does, this competition and it's "success" will be a key argument for them.
