Hopefully Barton will be in jail and we'll have a new manager by January who can add the necessary additions and get this expensively assembled group of players performing at the right end of the basement division. 🤞 so you seriously want to see another managerial change on top of the three we've had in the last twelve months. Who would you recommend this time. You couldn't do much worse. Throw your hat into the ring.

Or maybe we get another Tisdale. Be careful what you wish for Even Tisdale had a better points per game record than Barton 😆 I saw better football tonight than I saw from either Garner or Tisdale Rovers teams. Think this season has to end in promotion though or it will be a failure

Just listened to JB post match interview. I'm praying that he is inocent of his case's this next month,in particular the wife case and does not do jail time. He has really turned the corner and dispute what many think of him on here he has done nothing wrong towards the club since taking over. I feel if he is still in charge post Xmas and next season we will 100% go up with him in charge and push on again.I think now, he is doing a fine job and backing up his words of it taking time or the group to gel, dispute dropped points tonight and against Tranmere. Not sure if you are trolling or what!? "he has done nothing wrong towards the club since taking over", apart from throwing in the towel last season and giving up, then guiding us to 14th in the basement division with a pathetic overall record of 9 wins in 40 games. Fingers crossed he gets sent down and no other club have to suffer his delusions of grandeur and sh** management. Honestly pointless trying to explain it. Some people just don’t get it. Awful man management regarding Luke Thomas too. Joey picks the team. Take some of the blame for ONCE. Always blaming everything and everyone but himself.

Not sure Barton can make Thomas score when he's clean though with just the goalie to beat? Thomas basically has cost us 2 pts tonight and now made Saturday's game that bit tougher.

No blame for the woeful defending? Or Barton's inability to see a game out when we are ahead for the second time in four days?

Why resort to name calling ? That’s out of order I suggest you read RD's response to my first post instead of liking his. Called me a clown and belter just for me pointing out he only shows his head when things go wrong. I think you’re judging RD a bit harshly. He was active on the Oxford thread, and made positive comments about our performance. We’re all a bit hacked off at how the game panned out in injury time, no need to single one person out. UTG

Not seen the match. Disappointed with the result. Angry looking at the league table seeing some of the clubs above us having chucked leads away this season.
We’ve gone from getting dicked, to chasing games, to being unable to hold onto leads. That’s clear progression that’s only heading one way. Tough run of fixtures recently too in terms of mid week matches.
And he can chuck Luke Thomas under the bus for all I care if it gets him kick started.

This time the subs seemed the correct ones to make.

he has had the cot rocked for him most of the season. If that has not worked then it's time for another approach. May shake him up and realise what skills he has

Seem to be a lot more people blaming Thomas for missing. At least he was in the right place to have a chance whereas our defenders for the equaliser, no excuse for that

Barton sees Thomas everyday in training, he’s obviously not doing it, or he’d be starting! He should of at least, made the keeper make a save. Barton has given him numerous chances to grab it, but hasn’t. If LT can’t handle the criticism, he’s in the completely wrong industry. My take on this, is JB is now trying the kick up the ass tactic.

I agree that this is what Barton is trying with him now, but in my opinion it should be done behind closed doors. He tried something similar with Hanlan and Ayunga last season, calling them "alleged strikers" and neither of them scored again after that. Perhaps LT will start showing his potential now, I hope so, but I have reservations.

Not entirely sure publicly calling out LT was the best move but as others have pointed out he sees him every day and this might just be a final throw of the dice. He was one of the most exciting signings we made and so far has been a big disappointment. With the other options we have I wouldn't be at all surprised to see him return to Barnsley in Jan.

Oh my bad 🤣 Basically said that Luke Thomas thinks the world owes him a favour and needs to pull his finger out or he's gone Throwing him under the bus in public because he missed a chance is probably not the best way to man-manage Thomas. <button disabled="" class="c-attachment-insert--linked o-btn--sm">Attachment Deleted</button> Surely this remains to be seen

I thought we knocked it around really well for long spells tonight, actually looked like a team with some quality. Of course none of us wanted or expected how it ended, but I see playing well and not losing as a massive improvement over playing sh** and losing. It was Barton's sh** game management that cost us 2 points against Colchester, then got dicked by Newport at home, dropped a further 2 points at home after being 2-0 up against Tranmere and surely any competent manager would be able to guide his side to a win against a team with 10 men for over half a game and 9 men for the last 15 minutes or so? Although obviously that is beyond a manager with 9 wins in 40 games. wondered how long until the "stats" would be brought out again, the whole club is in a much better place and we are fractions away from getting the results, I think it should feel alot more positive, especially given the overhaul. Salford were bookies favourites at the start of the season and we made them look very poor for 94 mins. I think we will get promoted this season and personally I dont think all the Barton haters will say they were wrong about his ability as a manager. Its become deep seated irrational hate which is disappointing. if we are not careful our expectations will be similar to the sheteds'

We controlled that game for long periods, we didn't get the result we wanted but it was a good performance. We played some really good stuff at times, just fell asleep for the goal which happens sometimes when you are on top. Don't forget Salford is a tough place to go and a draw there is still a decent result even if it does feel like points lost. For me it's the injuries that are costing us, more so in defence. Stick kilgore or a fit Hughes in there and we can kill the game and see it out.

95mins of domination last night, I’m not sure it’s the manager/coaching staffs fault we didn’t take all 3 points. We had enough chances to win 3 football matches. No matter how much you hate Barton, this one is on the players.
Two losses in the last ten league games, let’s keep it that way this weekend and prove ourselves against the leagues top side.

I was very pessimistic about our chances after the Stevenage, Swindon & Newport debacles but I’m now seeing a team that is beginning to play some very good football. We all know we are lacking up front and IF we can get a big mobile front man early in January I’m sure the play offs are well within our capabilities - there are still 84 pts to play for. Fine margins where, IMO we have effectively ‘lost’ 8 points against Barrow, Colchester, Tranmere and now the mighty Salford - and we’re still not far from a play off slot.
