LT's post match tweet doesn't give the impression he's unhappy at Barnsley: "Wow, waited 18 months for that feeling back at Oakwell. 3 points š¤©. Thanks for the support #YouuuRedsā¤ļø" I sense we just need to move on and forget all about signing Thomas. I'd imagine JB has already. If āweā means the fans then maybe but I think JB will be better placed to know if there is still any likelihood of a deal and when will be the time to move on. In the meantime Iāll will remain hopeful - whether I or any of us āmove onā or not is irrelevant.Ā Fully agree. I hope to win the lottery one day.

"Duff made three changes to the lineup he started the season with, including Thomas who played behind James Norwood - making his first start - and Jack Aitchison.
"The midfield last week we thought was a little bit samey.
"Luke breaks the back line, he's got quality. Barnsley paid a lot of money for him. He's highly thought-of, he seems to be in a good place, he's fit.
"Winning breeds confidence, and I hope it's not just him, it's all of them and they recognise it's been a lot of hard work this week."

Loan player does well at temporary club. Loan player returns to parent club continues good form. Loan player now features for parent club. Player now doing what he was signed to do at wage payers.
If LT had been cast aside at Barnsley he would have looked to move on . He has been given an opportunity in the first team and is taking it.
I suspect unless LT gets dropped in the coming month the notion of signing him is for now over.

Bang on the money he ll have loved last season back in the forest, I'm convinced he ll be back soon.

I think thereās more to it in LTās case in that the reason he ended up on loan was heād become rather lost and was struggling away from his West Country roots which had a detrimental impact on his mental health. If he has completely overcome his MH issues and is now more settled in Yorkshire then heāll probably be staying put. But (and big but) if heās still fragile and yearning for a return home Barnsley may cut their losses and allow him to leave if they find an adequate replacement. If heās only got a year on his contract and Barnsley are concerned he may relapse a parting of the ways may be in everyoneās interests - especially oursš¤!!!

How ironic that he cut in and hit a sweet left foot into the goal ....
How many times last season did he cut in and then with no real conviction lay the ball off to someone and the move break down.
Bit part player for us last season and I did like him but time to move on - as said previously, may well be a better option come January when his Barnsley bubble has burst.

It's worked out perfectly for Barnsley really they now have an expensive player performing at last.

Seems an odd way to force a move, be Barnsley's star player, score the only goal of the game, then tweet about it how good it felt after the match.

This kid seems to be a bit up and down, not sure if that was a mental issue. I remember he played the best ive seen him at Colchester away but then other times didnt make the squad.

I didn't say he would, I said we would still have a chance if he decided he wanted to live in Bristol. He's bound to be on a high after scoring the winner, but that does not mean he will definitely feel like that in a week or two. A lot of people who have had psychology issues, can crash after a high. I think he will probably stay there until January, but you never know.
