Anyone seen the latest this morning about his girlfriend accusing him of rape and domestic violence.
Looks like his career is finished.

Yep.... Life finished pretty much. 100% done in pro football. In all honesty he's probably going to be (deservedly) going to prison.

Presuming he’s guilty - I really hope he gets made an example of.
Either way he won’t be done in football. At top level/England he is, but footballers have done worse and continued in the game.
Luke McCormick was drunk driving and killed 2 children in a crash, was sentenced 7 years and still returned to EFL football.
Not sure what the punishment for domestic abuse, but I’m pretty certain a few few championship clubs and higher would still take him on, sadly.

EDIT. Having heard the Audio, I can't imagine anyone in their right mind signing him. His career is over. |

It's not just the abuse though is it. I think if it was just violence then as much as I disagree he would be taken on by another club. I'd like to think no club will take a player on who has potentially raped someone in this day and age.

Still think he will be back in football eventually though, only 20 - he’ll serve his time and no doubt someone will take the gamble eventually. In the interest of debate only: what are peoples thoughts on that? If you’ve served what the law seems to be justice, should you have a second chance to make a career out of what is already a short career in playing football? Where do we draw the line in what jobs are/aren’t acceptable? This goes for more than abuse/rape btw - but anyone who’s served their time. Personally I’d not want him playing football at professional level again as I don’t think he should be a role model to younger generation. But how would we define that? |

Luckily for us, no one will want to hack ours! But it wouldn't have to be someone they knew. For her sake, I hope they are fake. The truth will come out either way, as they will want the full recordings and want to check the photos etc. He's likely to be guilty, it does not look good. Just saying I think people should wait until it's been confirmed, it is how it seems, before abusing him over the internet. |
