I had a knee op, on the Thursday, so being able to watch in iFollow was great for me! Would of been there otherwise. Wishing you a speedy recovery, and hope that you're soon back on your feet (or in your seat) at The Mem. Take care. UTG.

Being found not guilty would not make me like him, so I'd have a difficult decision to make. No one really cares if you like him or not, but if heās not guilty, whatās your problem? I didnāt particularly like Starnes, but certainly wouldnāt stop supporting the team, Iāve been watching for 42 years. The threshold for determining guilt in a football fan's head is not quite as stringent as that of a magistrate. The magistrate might think full well that Barton did do the things he is accused of, but will throw the case out anyway if there is not enough evidence to prove beyond reasonable doubt that it happened. Or some legal technicality is brought forward by the defendant's representatives. Do you see what I mean? Some may have already considered Barton to be a violent thug based on his history of, well, being a violent thug. But then perhaps they might have put this to one side and gave him a clean slate at Rovers.. and then the domestic abuse charges were brought against him and that has just re-enforced their original view. In their heads they feel that on balance of probability he is most likely guilty. But obviously more than that is required to prove legally that he is guilty. So I dont think being found "Not Guilty" will be enough for some fans to let this go. Can you understand that? I had a knee op, on the Thursday, so being able to watch in iFollow was great for me! Would of been there otherwise. Hope the operation went well & you'll be back watching Rovers soon!

Talking of operations.Having my cataracts done in two weeks. At the initial consultation, the young lady asked about getting stick as a referee,'Get your eyes tested Ref' etc. I told her it wasn't always Liverpool and Man U it was usually Stockport,Rochdale or Accrington' to which she replied ,'I've never heard of any of those places'.

Putting your own opinions to one side, if you genuinely can't see why some people don't like him then there's no point having this conversation.
I haven't stopped supporting the team either by the way, but I get you're trying to be provocative by suggesting that.
It's clearly a morality issue for me, some things are more important than football. I'm interested now in knowing where your "line" would be. Would you still go and pay your money and watch if we were bought by Russian / Saudi / Israeli state owned firms? Or if we signed someone like Greenwood / Mendy / Evans / Goodwillie?

I wasnāt trying to be provocative, but your other post said, youād have a difficult decision to make, if found not guilty. I generally like to take people by face value, Iāve met JB a couple of times, and thought him to be a pretty sound bloke! Now if heās found guilty, the club will sack him, and Iāll be glad they have. With the owners angle, again you have to look at all evidence weāre given, although itās usually very little. The players you have mentioned apart from evans who was found not guilty, I wouldnāt be comfortable with them playing for us.
