The gas are coming. The form table suggest that we should be very confident about our prospects this season but how confident. Could we be champions?
In a previous poll, 44 days ago 93 gas chatters voted:
2 thought we would be champions 12 thought we would achieve any of the automatic positions 48 thought we would get to play offs 31 thought outside play offs
So many of us have loved this journey and for sure, many will have changed their minds based on the results, performance and the increased belief in our team. Can we be Ground-Breaking?
So with nine games to go and with us being top of form tables can we sustain this charge?
Joey and the team believe that we can win every game and are giving it their best shot. Joey and team will for sure aim high and think the best for Bristol Rovers. The dressing room will know its challenge, but this squad like a challenge. All we can do is win our games and see where it takes us. Where will we finish?
Our defence is strong, our midfield is looking in control and there are goals in this team. There is so much hope around at the moment so we have every reason to think the unthinkable.
Automatics would be just great but can we be champions?

Early voting News. No one thinks we will end up outside the play offs. Pretty hopeful here. Lots more buses ready to set off.

I voted play offs but if we win on Saturday, I may very well be changing my mind.

Update: Nearly a third of voters in poll think we will achieve automatics or be champions. Progress in six weeks is remarkable.
7% say we could be champions. Just brilliant turnaround.
The gas are certainly coming.

Could you add an “any holes a goal” option please?

Having a sneaky look at others forums around us. The general consensus is we are the ones to watch and some are tipping us for autos

I voted for playoffs, but if we beat Northampton this weekend, I would be tempted to change my mind to autos!
We still have Exeter, Vale and Mansfield who have games in hand over us and all can go above us with a sizeable lead if they win them. Big if's of course, but how close we are to 3rd place at the moment is a little misleading. Exciting times though!

They all can't win them all as included in the games in hand is 22nd March Port Vale v Exeter but your point is valid

I don't want to be too much of an Eeyore with all this positivity about but all the years of following Rovers have turned me into a natural pessimist. I think we are playing some of the best football I have ever seen in the quarters but an injury say to Taylor could easily derail us still, our talisman is out for two key games and we aren't scoring as many goals as our build up play warrants...but I still think we can make the automatic places

Let's not get too much ahead of ourselves as eventually, the playoffs might only just be attained. Then there are the dreaded playoffs where form tends to go out of the window. I remain cautiously optimistic.

I said we are going up, I said we are going up. I said we are going up, I said we are going up, ad infinitum. UTG!

I remain cautiously optimistic. Very level headed and just as I see it. Despite what a lot of people are saying, it's by no means in our own hands. There are plenty of teams in form and some have games in hand on us. And the dreaded playoffs are a lottery as suggested above. So I'm pleasantly surprised and pleased at where we are but not going overboard yet.

Tough run-in so play-offs for me will be fine. Obviously prefer automatic of course. 😉

Big if's of course, but how close we are to 3rd place at the moment is a little misleading. Exciting times though! Vale hardly ever seem to follow up an home win with a decent away result and Mansfield seem to have gone right off the boil after a couple (?) of tough away games (something Rovers need to be mindful of given our next two games), it'll be interesting to see if they can just bounce back or the pressure now gets to them. Exeter could go on now to be clear champions given FGR's demise/tough end to the season, although they usually always bottle promotion.

If we are still in with a shout, Vale away could well be the gas invasion
Think I heard the away end holds 4,500
Imagine that….
Us v Darrell for promotion…..

I can honestly see Nailsworth blowing it, but I fancy Exeter to win it if they do. Easily the best side, besides Rovers, in this division.

Love the optimism but I don’t want to ‘fluence anything so let’s concentrate on the Northampton match and win that...then move on to Carlisle. Two away games, 4 points would be fantastic.
UTG!
