Evening guys.
The time has come for our selection committee to decide what 3 former players/managers will be inducted into the clubs official hall of fame.
We are taking fan suggestions into consideration this year.
If there’s anyone you believe worthy of a spot then let us know and we will discuss them at the selection meeting.
Cheers. UTG.

What is the criteria for HoF "legend" status? I seem to remember only 1 actual living inductee in the last batch - and so they were all way before my time. Are we going to consider more recent players for the 2022 intake?

The selection committee then discusses their merits and votes on who they believe should go in. Things that will be considered are all the normal type of things you’d expect with this type of project. Length of service, achievements, contribution to the club etc

I think DC should be in with a shout, back to back promotions at any level is a superb achievement and obviously Gerry Francis would be my shouts as managers
Apart from Belshaw 🙂 Of the players I've seen for Rovers, all of these deserve to be there, Nigel Martyn, Vaughan Jones, Steve Yates, Ian Alexander, Holloway, Penrice, Boris, Bruno, Billy Ocean, Marcus Stewart, Andy Tilson, Dave Pritchard, Barry Hayles,The Latvian, Mark Walters, Cureton, Roberts, Ellington, Steve Elliot and of course Sir Rickie. I'd probably chuck Andy Rammell in there as well, just for his cult hero status and his impact in his short spell.
Hard to narrow down to just a few

Darrell Clarke and Gerry Francis for sure. Both ‘got’ and cared deeply about the club, took us over in troubled times and left us in a far better position than when they took over. With Gerry’s player sales on top, you could argue he also had a big role to play in keeping our head above water. Darrell was under more pressure than any Gas manager when we were in the conference and the memories of those back to back promotions will last.
Player-wise I’m not sure who is already in there! Can anyone post the list?
