A guy comes in, not fully fit and makes a few sub appearances..... Scores a great goal and a chance to really kick off next season and he's already dissed?
The Rovers fans of the 80's & 90's would have given more chance. Remember how crap Jason Roberts was or Ricky Lambert' then all of a sudden they were gas heroes!
Shame on the Gas fans who are negative, spoilt bastards

Thought he looked OK when he came on, apart from one poor touch, being more effective than Collins against PV's two central defenders. Hopefully today's game will now be the turning point for him at Rovers. Wooah there Topper. I won’t have criticism of Collins, he works tirelessly to close down the keepers And drag us upfield. Did it again today with aplomb. Regardless, Loft was more effective late on today and also scored. Once Loft came on we took the game back to PV, before the subs PV were pressing for the equaliser.

Yeh that’s more to with the game time. Collins runs his nuts off for 75 mins, Loft reaps the rewards of a late break. Fair play to them both, it’s a team effort.

If you begin the statistics from 4.30 today ,Loft has the best goal ratio per minutes played this century.

Top class finish from Loft, a finish that neither Pittman or Leon Clarke would of scored at this stage in their careers. Collins works hard but it just has not happened for him in past 5 games. So great that Lofty offers an alternative.

Loft hasn't had the best starts. A lot of it losing headers in a deeper position. Give him something to get onto the end of and I think we'll see him in a different light. Todays goal. Intelligent run. First touch that from behind the goal looked heavy but on tv he was further out than I first thought so was actually a great touch. Goalie couldn't get out quick enough and a quality chipped finish. A worse - & unconfident - player would have probably just blasted it straight at the keeper. The pressure of seeing 2222 gasheads behind the goal didn't phase him

Superb atmosphere at Vale today , we were unlucky with the bad start tbh but what a response and the perfect way to wrap up with the last min goal in front of the travelling masses, absolute pandemonium
Soaked up brief spells of pressure well and dominated possession again for the most part
This team are superbly fit, superbly coached and work their asses off for each other
And the harder you work the luckier you get right ?
Last three look very appetising to me

I’ve said it before, every player we have has taken time and lots of games to gel into the way Joey wants us to play both in fitness and style of play. Ryan must be afforded the same patience by us supporters, another stepping stone today for him, I think the lad will turn out to be an astute signing for us. I agree…. He was signed to have more of an impact next season after learning from Clarke and having a Barton pre season under him… This season was to play a smaller role as a different dimension…. He, like every player that tends to come from ‘smaller clubs’ (if you can call them that) take time to settle and get used to the intensity, expectations and passion of our fan base…. I could be proven wrong but I do see him turning out to be a decent acquisition and I do see elements in his play that makes me think he’s got something about him… Yesterdays goal and how and when it came and it’s importance in ensuring we saw out the game will do his confidence no end of good

Buzzing for Lofty, what a moment for the lad.
Had a slow start with us but just had a gut feeling he had a big goal in him before the end of the season. What a finish it was.
All the raw stuff is there with him - he’s big, strong, fast. For sure there’s some rough edges that need some coaching, but I reckon we could see a much improved player next season once he’s had a full preseason under JB & Co.
Go on big man!

Just needs to find the ability to jump and win some headers and he will be just what we need

Lofty won a few decent flick ons yesterday, to ease the pressure of the ball coming straight back with interest. Collins (as much as I love the lad) didn’t win a single one. & there were plenty of opportunities.

I noticed that, thought he did really well, the other thing I’ve noticed with Joey is he defends a lead late on well up the pitch, lots of teams sit deep but he makes them go at the opposition and also waste time/go to the corners etc. It’s shithousing but works a treat.
