I just do not understand why some on a here get so regularly upset over supporters celebrating on the pitch, if you were there yesterday, hmm, then I guess many of those moaning were not, it was very hard under the circumstances of that match not to celebrate particularly third and certainly the fourth goal. In the heat of the moment no one caused any aggression, it was just unadulterated joy and relief. Time for some to chill out, after all its okay with the local constabulary, for some to rip down a statue in the middle of Bristol, roll it along St Augustine's Parade, into the harbourside. Had to spoil a great post with that utterly stupid last sentence.

Had to spoil a great post with that utterly stupid last sentence. Which bit is stupid exactly ?? Evidently certain people on this forum are proud to celebrate a slave trader. Same ones that still boo our fantastic players when they take the knee, I imagine.

No, evidence that certain people don't appreciate violence and anarchy just when because it suits certain agendas (I.E the mayor of Bristol).

As the FGR game was a few weeks ago now, and this has drifted into the theme of general politics, I have moved this into the General chat. Feel free to continue the discussion.

Thick as mince some people 🙄

I am afraid some people are too stupid to understand that you can be against slavery and in support of the removal of statues dedicated to the slave trade but still condemn baying lawless mobs who take the law into their own hands.

You know what I mean but like the mayor you will ignore it because it suits your agenda. You can be against slavery but also against mindless anarchy and idiotic behaviour just to cause chaos. Not to mention it being right in thick of Covid. Idiots.

Thick as mince some people 🙄 I'm not sure anyone these days knows what it means. Was on a call the other day where a few colleagues had just returned from a trip to Mexico. Here's how it went: Mkting Director: Thanks all for joining, now that we're all back returning let's crack on with the presentation. Hope you all had a good time? VP: Yes all good thank you, jet lag is ok for now but expecting it to hit in later tonight Mkting: Well exactly, no time to jet lag these days, jet lag is for the woke! Gassy: Did you say woke or weak? Mkting: Not even in question, its for the woke! Let's crack on.. 🤔

Interesting to see how the word has changed from being a modern term raising awareness of racism to being an anti-modern catch all slogan used to attack liberals for having any moral values. Shows how the media easily control the general narrative.

Depends who sets the morals. Everyone now has their own moral code that suits them, but it can be vastly different. It's no longer a case of the old biblical good/bad... As Nietzsche said -- god is dead, what will replace him? We now live in a time of hyper individualism... Or so we are led to believe.
