That was the big one. Even if Vale beat Newport I can’t see them beating Exeter.

Nice one. Just need a PV slip up for a perfect set up.

Brilliant! That was the most important game today I feel. I’m surprised Mansfield didn’t push harder and go for it towards the end. Anyway that’s one team we won’t need to worry about on Saturday now!
Now can Newport help us next? I’m still predicting a Vale win but then they have the hardest game out of all of us on Saturday.

Studio and commentary team really pi**ing me off!
Talking about the promotion race but seem to be deliberately avoiding mentioning the Gas, it's as though we are not even in the picture!!!
Fools!!

Apart from Oates, and McLaughlins set pieces, I dont see much threat from Mansfield if we meet in the play offs.
Longstaff looks half the player Billy is.

It’s funny how quick things of gone from worrying about even finishing in the playoffs at 4pm Saturday to finding ourselves in a strong position to finish in the automatics come the final day. Football, eh?

Good result for us that, bolsters our chances of autos, if Port Vale and Northampton can slip up too. I'd be surprised if PV win at Exeter even if they beat Newport later and Phil Brown won't want Barrow to end their season with a home defeat.

Without wanting to state the obvious, just a shame your goal difference wasn't even like 2 better off, because from the outside, you would have been in a pretty good position where a very big win vs Stevenage could have been enough.
If Port Vale win today then they would have a bit more incentive than Exeter on the final day with promotion, rather than just the title, being in their hands, but Exeter's home record is solid and they will obviously be going out to win that game, and if Northampton did beat Barrow by the odd goal, a 5-0 win vs Scunthorpe might have been realistic, more so 4-0, but not so much 7-0.
Obviously just need win your final match and see where it takes you, and you're certainly in a better position than at 4.30pm on Saturday where even a win over Scunthorpe might not have even got you into the playoffs.
Ah - I thought you were 6 off Northampton's GD, not 5, so maybe a bit more of a chance.

Need a very fast start and try and get 2/3 early goals to really put the pressure on them.

Is this Rob mad?
He’s saying Mansfield to nick the last spot.
That means we need to fail against Scunthorpe Northampton against Barrow Port vale to fail twice.
They don’t half get some idiots in to be pundits.
EDIT: FGR manager.

Idiot pundit on Sky. "Having seen that today Mansfield have enough to nick the last auto spot".

Mansfield lucky to get anything from that game. First goal Was a dubious free kick and the penalty decision was given the wrong way. Over to Newport. UTG
