Feeling positive about the season and pleased with our signings so far but the thought of being stuck with Westbrooke for another year is depressing. I wouldn't even give him a squad number. If we can't give him away, agree on a payoff and get rid. Westbrooke probably has more to offer in L1 than in L2, oddly. I beg to differ; 0=0

The teds transfer policy is mental. They always think they know better by signing some unheard of foreign player. Rarely it works out.

To be fair, the lad Bajic they just signed is a 20-year-old keeper on a free that has been capped by France at every age group from u16-u21 and when he played for St Etienne at 17 he became the youngest-ever player in their history to start a match in Ligue 1. Seems a no brainer signing to me.

So at the extent of getting a balanced view, hes going to come to a different country in a league thats massively different to Ligue2. he played 9 times for St Etienne since making his debut 3 years ago, then played 15 games at Pau who, just for context have a capacity of 4,000. Yes he has pedigree at France youth level but just for context the current France U21 keeper is Illan Mesiuer (Leeds Utd), expecting him to be a little distance off this. My guess is that he'll sit on the bench for a season, get loaned out the following year and then released back to France in teh 3rd year. Meanwhile the lad Max O'leary will go onto better things

It seems like we stick to the domestic leagues for our signings. But I wonder if we have any intention or even have scouted or scout any of the lower European leagues?

Liverpool fan seems to think that Rhys Williams is on his way to us. Can't say I know much about him but has played 9 games for them. 6ft 5" center back by all accounts. Dunno if he is just using us an example of that his career won't be playing in the premier league or he has actually heard that he is on his way to us.

Derby sign James Chester and Connor Hourihane - two great signings. And now David McGoldrick Out of administration days and probably overspending already, as I cannot imagine any of these 3 will be cheap I know they will get crowds approaching 30,000 but surely they should be cutting their cloth accordingly.

At least they are 3 young player's, that they can develope and sell on😂. Some clubs never learn.

Smacks of Bolton Wanderers a few years ago. Amazed they can get away with it . League One is going to be incredibly tough this season …. I think we will be competitive but patience is needed for sure.
