Just checked the league table - it really happened. A day I’ll never forget. My son hasn’t got home from partying yet, he’s crashed out on a sofa somewhere in Bristol. 😁 Happy Sunday everybody - hoping for an appearance from Big Jock today.

Still can’t believe it. Woke up and thought it was a dream. Watched countless fan videos this morning and the extended highlights. It’s never easy for this club but from pre-COVID to now it’s a great trade of being relegated without fans at stadiums to being promoted with us being allowed back in. So many great moments between the team and fans this year, be it Walsall, Bradford, Port Vale or Rochdale away or scenes in front of the Blackthorn v Oxford or yesterday and of course countless others. Cherished memories. The Gas are back!

Any one else see the irony in us scoring 7 to get promoted when the moan in chief on this forum has been ' failure to sign a striker'!! Lots of emotions today and reflections for instance imagine the melt down on here should it be us in Northampton's shoes, the moans about the other Rovers fans invading the pitch to celebrate the other week!, how the season unfolded and the growing belief that however unlikely this outcome seemed you just felt as each act played out that all the stars were lining up in our favour to give us a quite unbelievable finale. I am so glad i made the right choice in my youth , for all there wealth and riches fans of the elite can never experience such days as this, its Christmas day every day for them so it means nowt, to us these days are a rarity to be treasured and like any precious treasure we will take it out the box every now and again and just look at it with unbridled joy and wonderment! never did that Ken Dodd record seem more appropriate!

i was telling fans before Xmas we had a good enough squad to go up in the automatics, but i must admit there was a period just around half time when we were only winning 2-0 that I started thinking about who we might have to play in the play offs , but after the 4th goal went in those thoughts went out of my mind and when we got the fith, i looked at the clock, seen 15mins to go and thought got 3 in 10 mins at Rochdale against a better team we are going to do this. if there hadn't been a pitch invasion i think we would have gone on and got more goals, my only worry was we would score an 8th there would be a second pitch invasion and game abandoned. a pregnant Mrs Barton was sat in front of me with the two kids, i lent over and said your husband should be knighted Sir Joey, she laughed never realising i use to be a Barton doubter, if we can keep most of this team for next season with a few quality additions and our belief a top six finish beckons.if Scummy Wycombe can do it we can.

If we could keep this team together we'd be looking at play offs next season, but unfortunately a number will be moving on for various reasons. Hopefully the new signings will gel a bit quicker than the wholesale changes did this season and we can compete in the upper half.
Still pinching myself.

Just one fantastic, unbelievable day - imo the bar was reset for our club and it’s future yesterday afternoon. The season ticket is bought, the shirt is put away, warm summer months ahead, copious amounts of wine to be consumed on the patio before we start all over again in around 3 months time.
Signing off for now for a couple of months, but just to say thanks Wael, thanks Joey and a big thank you to a great bunch of footballers who have given 100% and beyond (if possible) to achieve something which few of us thought possible (apart from ritchie) just a few short months ago. Proud to be a Bristol Rovers supporter - a day never to be forgotten, etched in Rovers folklore for all time. UTG.

So immensely proud of our beloved football club this morning. What an achievement that was...so glad I was there with my old man to witness and experience it.
Feels so so sweet to come back from the low of being at the bottom of the professional football pyramid to sneak into the top 3 just at the last closing minutes of the season.
It's really weird....I can't quite put my finger on it but I just had a feeling we would make it yesterday. As I sat there in the stands I noticed how I felt different to how I normally feel on a match day....not so much nervous energy as usual...I was excited and positive....I actually had unwavering faith and belief.
Congratulations to everyone who played their part in what has been an incredible season...all the players (not just those who were lucky enough to take to the field across the season), all the staff at the club, JB, Wael and of course not forgetting ourselves the fans!
To those in L1 next season....the gas are coming!
The question is, can we go on to get back to back promotion and reach the championship.....I believe we can and will.

These are the days that will live in memory utg.

Congrats on the unlikely turnaround today in getting the third automatic spot; if it had been a screenplay it would have been rejected as implausible - see you next season in League One. Raising a glass to Gregsgas and all who knew him this evening x Great post from a great Club. My first few games as a 6 year old were Pompey early 80s Your club got me hooked on football . Once I went to Rovers I instantly became Rovers but I’ve got lots of family down your way still to this day. My mums first football match was 1953 Pompey reserves in her pram at Fratton park aged 6 months. Play up Pompey Good night Irene

Buzzing doesn’t come close!
Thursday meet up with my boy for meal, hotel stay and watching Rangers reach Europa Final 🇬🇧 Amazing!
Hold my beer…..
Yesterday wow just wow I honestly think that is the biggest final day promotion achievement ever! - SEVEN ffs! - Rovers unbelievably promoted! 💙
Hold my beer….
Because in between I gained the most stunning, wonderful, amazing and funny daughter in-law at the best wedding ever on the best day of my life. 🥹
I. Am. Blessed. 😌

I mean wow, just wow! This is why we love sport! 52 years I’ve been following this lot and I have never seen anything close to today. Poor old Mrs S was unfortunate enough to be sat next to me and took a few blows to the head as I celebrated wildly, but I think she’s forgiven me now. Have a great night everyone! Hopefully your mrs and Northampton recover ok today. Well your mrs anyway.
