They were in the driving seat but let go of the steering wheel. No one needed them to do any favours for them. Horrible club

If you really want to hear what salty sounds like, have a listen to this post-match on BBC Radio Northampton www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p0c2h0z4First 15 mins is the end of the Rovers commentary, but listen afterwards. Spend an hour taking about Scunthorpe and sporting integrity. Nothing about their sides tactics when we went 3/4/5-0 up…

We are undefeated in our last 10 games against Northampton and not to long ago we beat them 5-0 a home and 6-0 away, both games I was lucky enough to attend. No mention then by them that we only beat a weak understrength youthful Northampton team. None of their idiots were there to see yesterday's game where we all saw Scunthorpe players putting their bodies in the firing line and only beaten by a rampant superior footballing side. Of course they don't even have the courtesy to mention that we beat them twice this season. As for the idiot saying any team should have been able to beat them by 20-0 or so sums up that wally nicely.

At least they don’t get us in the play offs
No team would have wanted us in the play offs, we finished the season the strongest team in the division

"I think what Brady has to do somehow is transmute all the anger surrounding all this into a fired-up determination to destroy Mansfield and to gain our rightful place in League One so we can do the double of the GAS and wipe the smirk off that **** Barton's face"

The most ironic bit about the match being fixed is that 7-0 was only good enough provided the score at Barrow didn't change in the second half. So, for it to be a true fix, Northampton and Barrow had to promise not to score again and allow us to put 5 more past Scunthorpe without them replying. All in all, complete cobblers. Don’t start using logic 99, it’s above the head of most of them throwing conspiracy theories around.

I’m listening now….. it’s fantastic! 😂 Apparently Scunthorpe lost 7-0 , no mention of the fact The Gas WON 7-0 😂 Exactly. Perhaps they could start with our formation: 2-1-3-4 How many managers with promotion on the line dare to play 2 at the back with a 38 year old midfielder in front of them. It was a master stroke but it could have gone very wrong had Scunny scored. First half I thought they actually did well. Won a few corners from quick counter attacking football. Their match fitness also played a part. At 60 mins they were all finished. One thing we know about our team is that they are a bunch of butchers dogs.

They need to look at their keeper. Dodgy getting sent off and now having to play a kid in the play offs. Perhaps their team were in on the fix

We stuck 3 past Vale. 4 past Rochdale. 7 past Scunthorpe.
We were superior in every department. Attacked from the start and left nothing to chance.
We could have scored even more.
There was no advantage to be had, when the pitch invasion happened we were 7 0 up and in the auto spots. If anything, the invasions hindered our momentum, could have been 8 or 9 nil imo.

Who's going to go on there and float the idea of flooding the wings of their pitch in 1998 with the sprinklers in the that 2nd leg?
What comes round goes round
C'mon DC!!

Scunthorpe made just 3 changes from their starting line up last week against Hartlepool, the left back making his debut was also subbed in the first half for a player that also started last week. Nowt wrong with that and they drew against Hartlepool.
